The king James Bible was established in 1611 and Africans were forced into Christianity so what does that tell you about the colonizers that lack melanin . Copying and paste and editing our history to fit their agenda for what a purple jersey a electronic vape emitting cancer lol 🕷️

Also the show fired Orlando Jones. And I really hated it. There is the article on the Hollywood reporter it’s called “Orlando Jones Says He Was Fired From ‘American Gods’ for Sending “Wrong Message for Black America””

This speech was extremely powerful and resonated on a deep spiritual level. It scared the hell out of the white show runners. It was the truth that summarized the experience of the black diaspora in the western world.

The black man with the glasses is Djehuti/Thoth the Khemetic god of wisdom and judge of the afterlife. He was like “They are all coming before me in the end. I judge them and decides who goes where. Don’t worry, I got them. Anansi, who is a West African god from Ghana and of the Diaspora specifically was like “nah, that’s cool what about now? how long we gonna wait? Being passive hasn’t ever done anything for us and we need to get it together.

Right!?!! I mean it made me ask myself, “have I ever looked at myself and thought, “I’m just a person.” The sad answer is no, I’ve always been aware, sometimes painfully, that I was and am black first , in the eyes of certain entities and sadly myself included, before I am a person 😳. Although I’ve desperately fought to be seen and judged on the basis of my character rather than my race.😔

Don’t put words in his mouth. He said exactly what needed to be said. None of us need to remix it. He was speaking English. This is one of our problems as a people. Quit sugar coating stuff. Just as raw as he spoke thous words, it’s 10xs more truth too thous words.

Leaving out the historical fact that white people never enslaved black Africans. They didn't even buy those enslaved by other Africans. The purchases in Africa of already enslaved people was done by Jewish businessmen (who owned and operated the Atlantic Slave Trade), who then told those they sold these slaves to in North America, that slavery was a criminal punishment in west Africa. Also, after the Emancipation Act after the Civil War the American government bought and freed slaves owned by sovereign Native Tribes. And, of course, overlook the fact that 95% of African slaves brought to the Western Hemisphere ended up in Latin America. And the brutality Africans faced in Latin America was 10x worse than what happened in America.

The video DIDN’T tell you that 95% of African slaves were caught and sold by OTHER AFRICANS, that only 6% of Atlantic slaves even ended up in North America, the first OFFICIAL Western slave owner in North America was a BLACK MAN and that a HIGHER percentage of slave owners were black and Jewish and NOT white Southern slave owners. The VAST majority of white Southerners owned no slaves because it was expensive. Also didn’t show the #1 fighter against slavery were Western, WHITE, Christian men!! The English and French were fighting to outlaw slavery in Africa well into the 20th century. Plus far MORE slaves were moved by Muslims in the Eastern Slave trade: 200 million compared to 15 million.

Instead of justifying and taking up for the white people please understand that Africans did not invent racism....white people did. White peolple created the caste system of skin color and still use it against us today. No matter how many times you try to use the fact that Africans sold other Africans or that there were Black slave owners it will never be worse than the fact that white people used racism and promoted colorism to oppress and divide people with melanated skin. There is no other race in the world that has done more evil and demonic deeds towards all other races/ethnicities and even to their own race than the white race.

I'm a middle-aged white guy and this scene haunts me all of the time. This segment tells it like it is. I'm ashamed and horrified, and everyone that suffered as the result of Black slavery in America, and Blacks today, have every right to be enraged and never, ever, let go of that anger.

I agree, that it’s the realist’s description of the history of Afro Americans history in America. Those that can’t understand or agree with what the Anansi character is saying are deeply delusional. You can’t hide the truth, it always raises to the top sooner or later.

Anansi is the god of stories, wisdom, knowledge and trickery of the Akan people. Akan people were very often the main participants and leaders of slave rebellions in the Americas so this scene was very apt and resonant.

Guys.... Anasi is a specific God that certain west Africans worshipped...It's not where ever black people are.......because east africans, south Africans, north Africans didn't worship know off or care about west Africans deities..plus there are many west African gods or supernatural entities. Belquis the goddess of love is east African. Anubis,Thoth north African ..so the colour is irrelevant.
