Your manual may be wrong. It should run through the 9 modes when charging normal/agm/cold. It should not run through those modes in repair mode.

Hi from, Dan. I took the tire out of the trunk, pulled the mate up. And you see the wire harness plug. I pulled it up. Then a had a very ease way to plug AND UNPLUG THE NEW HARNESS.

Hello I have a 98 Pathfinder 3.3L, 230,000 miles. I changed the spark plugs and wires, and the distributor as its bearings had failed. I marked the old distributor in 3 places plus the center of the rotor, and reinstalled the new one exactly as the old one came out. It doesn't have the random misfires anymore. It always has idled about 950 in Park rather than 700ish. But in Drive it drops to 700rpm when at a stop. Is this normal for yours also? I checked the timing advance via my OBD2 scanner and it's showing 8 at idle (950rpm) in Park, but goes to 15 when placed in Drive (at a stop). Does this mean 8 degrees BTDC? So it's retarded too much eh? Which way do I turn the distributor to Advance the timing closer to 15 degrees BTDC while in Park? Which way to make it read closer to spec, which is 13 to 17 BTDC in Park? Can I just turn the distributor very gradually without disconnecting any sensors and watching my OBD2 Timing Advance screen, stopping it at 15? I do not have a timing light. To advance these (from 8 to 15), is it turned counterclockwise or clockwise? Thanks much!

I have a 4.6 with an all aluminum intake manifold. Does it use the same gasket? Supposedly these are rare?

The part is discontinued by Ford. The only thing available is either used or aftermarket. The Dorman part has a separate seal around each port where the OEM part is a complete separate gasket that covers all four ports on each side.

The report looks like the one that my 2016 Mazda6 was giving me. I also had a problem trying to reset them. I had to change the PCM. Now the car runs fine. I also had a bad report for a barometric pressure. I live 7 miles from the ocean in Little river SC. I sent the xtool d9s back and used forscan to program the used PCM to the car. The deal said it can't be done but it worked fine for me. I bought a nice 11 inch Lenovo tablet to use with the A30M. The A30M is limited on the special functions like key programming and PCM coding.

Is it ThinkTool, or Xtool, same company that does a very, very poor job of quality control then wants you to hook up your poor running tool to your computer and give them access to it. I wish a US company would put something out for scanning and take China out of the game of electronics that go unchecked because they only want to make it as cheap as possible.

Autel is way too expensive to buy and to keep current in my humble opinion. I'm really impressed with what the XTool can do. I also have a Thinktool Platinum S10 Pro which I think is comperable to the D9S Pro. Functionality wise they both perform equally well. The Thinktool was $1800 with two years free updates and $600 a year subscription after that. The XTool was $1075 with three years free updates, then $400 a year subscription after that.

A30M has same detection capability and basic but very less functionality : no more spéciales function, no spécial function in ecu menu , no munti graphic on same page, no csv record, no prograning, no coding, no key... So A30M is not bad but not in same range. Good idea to compar it !

Very nice work Mr. Doe. I am surprised that BMW had such poor workmanship from the factory on the casting. But with those 4.4 liter V8 valve covers, that seems to be pretty common. As clean as you got them in your blaster, a new coat of paint should adhere nicely.

I would paint them with a heat rated epoxy primer before painting them. BMW obviously did that from the factory but the issue was with adhesion of the paint to the primer. That might be why when the owner painted them himself the paint didn't last very long. The vapor blasting process provides the perfect surface for paint adhesion. Repainting these parts with heat rated epoxy primer and paint it should outlast the car.

I'm glad it helped. I couldn't find anything that helped very much so I wanted to see if I could put something out that might help. I did figure out how to get the valve out if it needed to be changed. Once you remove the top two pieces of the intake manifold you can unbolt the bottom piece of the manifold and the valve is attached to that part.

I have a 2007 f150 fx2 with a 4.6l. I believe the old intake was aluminum. I didn't remove it. The plastic intake is off and wouldn't seal. So I found an old aluminum intake with lower and upper still attached. About to attempt getting it on. Any advice? Oh, the guy that was working on the truck( so called mechanic) was using grommets I believe. I found one. 2007 didn't use grommets did they?

A stock 2007 manifold should be the new design with the aluminum coolant runner and the rest plastic. If it was all aluminum it has been changed. I think the truck manifolds were all aluminum but are taller and you can't close the hood. The gaskets for the stock manifolds should be available. I hope I understood your question.

Double check your part number when you purchase the intake manifold. The issue I had is they sold me a doorman 615175, I needed a doorman 615178 on the surface they basically look the same, that doesn't allow me to properly secure the passenger side aluminum crossover.

If you are referring to the tab on the back of the ECM that holds the back in place I had to do it by feel. I held my finger on the slot where the tab went and slid the tab along my finger guiding it into place.
