Dang man. This is a great video. Very clear very easy to follow You deserve many more subscribers and I will mention you on Guitar Notes and Notions if you don't mind. If you go to her site, Cindy has offered to jam with other youtubers, Check it out if you are interested. BTW, did you put those fret numbers on yourself? I think that is a cool way to show the frets you are playing. Thumbs up.. Cheers let me know if you take requests. Thanks

Thanks for the kind words and great feedback! It's always nice to know if my videos are useful for people or not. Feel free to mention me on Guitar Notes and Notions or wherever. I'm happy that my channel continues to grow, and I'll take the free promotion any day! Thanks! I'll have to check out the Guitar Notes and Notions channel. I haven't done the online jam thing, but I'm always willing to consider new stuff. About the fret numbers, yes, I put those on myself. When learning songs from the internet, I always found it frustrating to have to count frets on the screen to figure out where people's fingers are, so I thought I'd try to make it easier for everyone by adding fret numbers, especially since this guitar I'm playing doesn't even have the normal fret board dots you see on most guitars. I would be open to the idea of taking requests, but I can't guarantee that I would learn a requested song and make a video. I guess it would depend if I like the song or not, and if I would be willing to listen to myself play it for hours and hours while practicing it :) That said, feel free to make suggestions, and I'll see what I can do. Thanks again!

Hi Richard, this song has a strange title and is actually called “The Christmas Song”. Here’s a link to it’s wikipedia page that gives a few more details about it. Thanks for watching! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Christmas_Song

Very interesting guitar. Self/custom made? Is the seddle made of aluminum? The with seams to be ca. 45-48 mm, right? Awsome!
@wickguitarАй бұрын
@@labsal6042 Ha! interesting you noticed the guitar! to me that guitar is normal since it’s the first electric guitar i ever owned. It’s an American made Fender Strat+ from 1991 or 1992. I’m not sure of the saddle material. i removed the tremolo bar and stuck a wood block in the back between the floating mechanism and the body to keep it from moving and keep the guitar in tune. you can find more specs for the strat+ online. thanks for listening!
@wickguitarАй бұрын
i realized the video only shows the nut, which is what you were asking about. i believe it is called a “roller nut” and it came as original equipment on the Strat Plus guitar made by Fender.

Love this lesson! Basic chords; normal key. So many jazz lessons you can't tell what the guy's playing in the first place and it's in a flat key on top of that! This lesson you can get down fairly easily; then add in your own embellishments; fancy chords etc. Way easier for an intermediate player like myself. Keep 'em coming'!

I just noticed that my chord chart for Abmaj7 has a dot in the wrong place! The dot on the 5th fret 5th string should not be there. The 5th string is not played, and the two dots on the 5th fret should instead be on the 3rd and 4th strings. Sorry about that :( For that particular chord, please just look at my fingers on the fret board and not at that chord diagram. Thanks.
@John_F8987 ай бұрын
Thanks. I was wondering why the flat 5th on a major 7 chord.
