Those dropouts were probably caused by the neighbors 2.4 Khz devices (routers and cordless landlines). My friends wireless set-up for guitar does the same thing because the houses are so close together. I use a 900 Khz (a much older standard) that can't do the same distance but rejects much more signal interference. The latency is also a non-issue with most of these unless everyone is using the same frequency. Since everyone wants the latest tech the 900 band gets the least love so that's what I use.

Why is there a kick, and a kick trigger input? I tried my kick pedal on both and it doesn't detect it on the kick input, only the kick trigger. It doesn't detect any velocity AT ALL on the kick pedal input. I don't get it.

The kick trigger is used with the pedal without force in the product. The kick trigger is compatible with other triggers on the market with force, you can choose to use it by yourself.

Severe clipping on metal sound I don't think was the amp. I'm listening to this on my studio setup. Either the amp speakers are about fried, or the recording input signal was overloaded. Mine don't sound that bad when driven hard even with humbuckers.

That does look like the 10 inch one to me. Been looking at these a lot this week trying to find a small one to take to the park. There is a 6 inch one with 11 notes, but it has rubber around the outside. It sounds really pretty too.

in fairness, its not really a real world test. your in a studio and the transmitter and receiver are 2 inches apart. your not gonna have any issues with that.
