i recently got this electronic drum set for my kids but the snare and kick are too loud. its drowning the toms, hi-hat, ride and crash. what are the ideal volume settings for the individual pads? and what budget friendly kick pad do you recommend? thanks!

You can adjust the sound setting for each piece. Read the manual. Save it to your user settings.

Yes the bass drum was too loud so I turned it down and saved it in the personal user setting. I have been ok with the snare sound level. I ordered an iron cobra pedal and yahama kick bass tower kp65. The pedals that come with it suck for bass drum.
