Well, from the look of the ship of this episode's villain, Battlestar Galactica had hit the air waves by the time it was made.

Playing a few of Darkon's Robot Soldiers (those with the really deep voices) is Stanley Ralph Ross in his voice acting debut. The writer of many 66 Batman episodes; one of the creative forces behind Wonder Woman and Hannah-Barbara go back all the way to the Flintstones days. Working as an ad executive, Ross recommended the show to one of his clients, Winston Cigarettes to sponsor the show. The Animation Producers never forgot that, and stayed friends ever since. One day while walking through the sound studio, Joe Barbara heard what he thought was the voice of Tom Bosley through one of the speakers. He looked up and saw Ross looping his voice to perfection. Turns out he was pinch hitting for the late actor for an upcoming TV Movie. After the session, the two caught up as old friends do. Ross revealed that he had a few TV movies and specials lined up, but as Wonder Woman was ending, when to came to episodic TV, his phone wasn't exactly ringing off the hook. Barbara just smiled and said "Come With me". Turns out Ted Cassidy was unavailable for this particular session, and they needed a good deep voice to fill things out. Ross auditioned cold, and was singed right away to the rotating HB voice cast. And a new second career was started :)

Given that this episode wasn't part of the Challenge of the Superfriends main series in it's syndicated and Cartoon Network airings. Since Challege focused more on the Superfriends Vs LOD concept. The only time The Wonder Twins would tangle with the LOD would be in The Lost Episode season.

Hi Irving, another great review with one of several real life tragic problems that this show addressed and wasn't afraid to. These kind of stories relate to many and it was heartbreaking to hear your personal story and how family love and perseverance can and will find a positive resolve to their disability. Then that person will see someone like them and try help because they understand what they are going through. I happened to meet Mickey Jones at a fast food place years ago and we had a great time talking about his career being a drummer for Bob Dylan, his love for Harley Davidson bikes and being one of very few people that wasn't afraid of seeing the Hulk. He said he never considered himself a lightweight but he said Lou picked them up and carried him without any problem. He also said the Bill Bixby was very nice to him and said if he ever needed anything to come to him for help. Thanks again Irving for bringing back such fond memories.

This episode the one before it Audouk horror and the next episode a child in need were originally supposed to be season 1 but they ran out of time to put them in the first season so they tacked them on to the first few episodes of the second season you can tell this by the season one hulkout sound and lous wig
