Using pinyin to learn Chinese or any other language is like learning a second language through a third language. As a native speaker in any language, try learning a second language using a third language. Your journey will be troublesome and long.

You mean well. But you don't pronounce third tone right. You are saying it as if it were in isolation in a dictionary. The movie actor has it right. You don't. 挑战 / tiǎozhàn / -- it's not / tiǎo + zhàn /. Sorry. No. The first syllable is tiao and is like a fourth tone but softer and more medium in pitch. This is basic. Please stop adding your mispronunciation.

This is great content! My only complaint is the pinyin in the subtitles. I wish they were optional, or simply not there. If you can actually read Chinese characters, then the pinyin is only distracting. I would prefer it if we had chinese characters only. Not even English, at least in the first part. And perhaps pinyin and English as you go more in-depth. But maybe it is just me.
