You can tell immediately that Armand isn't drumming. EK (I think it was EK) drumming is good but it definitely doesn't have the energy of Armand. There are times when the drumming sounds like someone in a wedding band. Great drumming just not the right place or band..that's just my opinion.

Note to self/Dec 12th '24: This is me giving this era of Napalm Death a real chance. At the time i was turned off by the cleaner sound and less aggressive approach. I stuck to the pre-"Fear, Emptiness, Despair" material and hundreds of other bands. I tried again years later but only found joy in "FED"/I've been addicted to "FED" lately and it made me wanna have an open mind to this era. Will it be a success story or will i still go from "FED" to "Enemy of the Music Business" while ignoring this portion of their catalog? Only time will tell!

Initial feelings: pretty good!! i think "Self Betrayal" should have been the last song and the live version of "Plague Rages" isn't that good (Barney was a boozer at the time and its NOTICABLE) but the complaints end there! I dub this EP "slept on" as i REALLY like side B/the exclusive tracks. some cool stuff happening here and its at least as good as "Enemy of the Music Business"
