Clearly from what you have shown the pitch has been altered. Possibly because it was a thatched roof, ie the timber structure is of a lighter design. So when they changed the roof to tile ( clay ) they did not change the timber, which was fine. Now you have what look like concrete tile, which is much heavier,x3, than the thatch of the original roof. When you rebuild the roof ensure timber’s are of the correct size for the weight of the tiles. It will be possible to double batten and insulate the roof in the rebuild of the roof.

Why did you top your beautiful redwood trees!!! Are you daft? That's why they're growing out, not up. Redwoods are heritage trees. In fact, theres a heritage grive for global biodiversity somewhere in England to help save the species. You need to not only reach out to Nick, you need to find that grove and learn about them. You can reach Nick either through his channel, the Chateau Diaries channel, or the Escape to Rural France channel. Please get his help before any mire damage occurs.

Anyway one I had to bring down because it's roots with 2 surface in the tree was really swaying through the winds that were having during the fires nearby as so we had a chop it down and now i have a huge Christmas tree because we didn't trap it all the way down we chopped it about 2/3 of the way down and now we have the huge Christmas tree I've ever seen and I'm gonna keep it that way.

@@DawnPorterEscape Hi, there's a couple in Italy who have a channel, rebuilding a stone house on a mountain-side and they have used various methods to stop water ingress. Might be worth a look. (something voyagers I think) A french drain will only do so much, and I think any land levels above house level presents a problem if close enough. It's like being a basement, which requires tanking.

Hello Dawn you have just come up on our feed so first time watching on your roof when you take off the tiles i would reinforce the rafters as them pan type tiles are heavy your property would have most likely been thatched or even slate which are both lighter also when your pointing wet the area your working with say a square meter at a time the lime pointing then won't crack and start fulling out in the next few years all the best Budo & Tracy at Frenchfarmhousediaries

Can anyone explain to me how to, for example, cook carrots for around five minutes and then add, say, cabbage and broccoli for a minute or two only without having to go through the preheating again on this Cosori pressure cooker unit? Any advice would be gratefully received. Live on my own so was hoping to pretty much do all my veg in the one pot … not having much success so far. I bought a 3 compartment steamer basket for it but not much use if some veg take 5-7 minutes and others take only 1-2. Help please 🤞
@DawnPorterEscapeКүн бұрын
Well, my advice if I'm picking it up right what I do is, I start it with the veg that's going to take the longest let's say 12mins, and when I gets down to 5mins I add the veg that will take 5 mins and stop again it I have veg that will only take 2 min. So with all said and done the 12min has alaps and all the veg is done at the same time and all done and tasting beautiful, all hot and nothing over cooked, and because you are adding the veg quickly you shouldn't have a problem with the machine to reheat, hope this is helpful. Dawn
@cazzajee2593Күн бұрын
@@DawnPorterEscape thank you so much for replying Dawn. It is useful and I am now getting used to the timings, however, the main problem I was having initially was getting the lid to go back on after adding more veg or checking to see if something was fully cooked or needed a bit more time. The lid just would not go on… I think something to do with the steam still coming from the food that was already inside. I have since found out that you have to wait just a little while and do have to apply a bit of pressure on the lid and make sure the button is fully in position of vent and then it will go back on. It seemed like it was some sort of safety feature kicking in that was preventing the lid from going straight back on. I do appear to have mastered it now though and do carrots for 4 minutes and then add the cabbage and cook for a further 3 minutes and it is cooked to absolute perfection for my liking👍👍👍👍 I’m loving it now. I’m even more impressed having watched a KZbin video showing you can cook chicken from frozen … this will be great for me come winter when I look forward to try doing my soups and broths in it. Thank you again for taking time to reply 👍😃👍
@cazzajee259317 сағат бұрын
@@DawnPorterEscape hi Dawn. Having re-read your message I’m thinking I will give your method a try 🤔 what I’m wondering is how do you stop it, for example, 7 minutes into a cook time set for 12. Do you literally just vent it so far through the cooking to add different veg and then presumably press start again when you’ve added it? Because I’m pressing cancel after it has vented and then it obviously has to go through the preheating cycle again. I’ll keep experimenting cos I think I must still be missing something 🤔

Dot from Derbyshire Hi Dawn, I'm glad it's not just me that is nervous of using this model of pressure cooker. I remember having stew on the kitchen ceiling with one of the old types back in the eighties. My pressure cooker is still in the box and has been there for 4 months. Your video has given me the confidence to try it, as a widowed pensioner, and a lover of the one pot wonder I really must get it out of it's box and get cooking. You made it look really easy although I must admit the get of steam is frightening. I have seen some people laying a tea towel gently over the vent to help . I keep meaning to email the Cosori help line to ask what they think of that? Any comments about that? Thank you for sharing your video, keep them coming I will watch especially if they feature the Cosori. Lots of love from Derbyshire, Dot x.

Just put one in mine, forget that handle thing as I was getting to wound up doing it lol I just ended up pre heating and holding the entire chicken after having tied it up and pushing the bar into the slot and hanging it like that, then I panicked as I have no idea if its working right and all sorts, but im guessing it is, gawd knows why it says 30 minutes, it does on mine as well and mine isnt even cosori but is identical, anyway, got the potatoes on and other things, well boiling ready to roast, lets see how this chicken goes lol Somebody said on another video to place not only the drip tray for, well, drippings but place tin foil over the tray and under to hold it as its easier, I tried this and when ever I turn the oven on the chicken rubs the foil off and then the foil starts flying all over the place, so i scrapped the idea of the foil and just use the tray, anyway going to check to see if anythings on fire or its all working okay, no idea what im doing, so strange coming from a normal oven and knocking up the best roasts, to being a total novice and worried like this, all cos of a new little oven thing lol
@DawnPorterEscape2 ай бұрын
I heard that the tin foil should not be use on or under the drip tray, I left the drip try in after the chicken was cooked to cool down then I took it out and used the juice's to make my gravy. But as you said it is awarded to begin with but once you've got the nick it gets easier. Thanks for your comment and watching I do appreciate it :)
@Pobsta-de7hb2 ай бұрын
@@DawnPorterEscape Oh in the end it all went great, the chicken turned out far better than I had imagined and was lovely! As for a mass mess and all this difficulty cleaning, I am unsure why others had this issue, my drip tray had just enough to run over the chicken again and the potatoes, at the end of cooking it was so easy to wipe clean and the inside of the fryer itself was just fine after a little wipe down. Brilliant little machine actually! Thanks for uploading
