Love Miles's attire here. However, it's from his 80's epoch!

Please isolate the first 14 minutes of Gondwana. This truly is a masterpiece and I'd love to hear these two instruments on it's own. Thanks!

Amazing! To hear him isolated like that is a real masterclass in "time management" and "groove-meistery" ! Great to hear the faint leakage of track bleeding through his headphones, too. BravYo, Maestro!!!

You got it. That's the real shit. Foster/Henderson/Mtume were the greatest. The greatest of them all. I was preaching it all my life. Thanks, bro. You know the secret grovves, man. I met Al twice. He's an animal. Below I got some more of that shit. Those three were magical. kzbin.info/www/bejne/npfEg5Kifrtrba8 (go to 10.30 & 18.30 until the end) kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpyqqnV6g6xroJY (go to 16.00-17.30 & 20.00 until the end) And now the greatest groove ever. Not with Henderson but with Darryl Jones. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZm4n5J-lJKordU (go to 01.34.10)

Amazing drummer , this groove for me is reminiscent of Candombe ( afro - Cuban rythm ) pleyed in Uruguay S.A. ( see OPA a Fattoruso Bros., Ringo tielman , Ruben Rada on " Magic Time " ) i like Nite Sprite from Leprechaun album , RIP Chick Corea .
@leaproicheva7 ай бұрын
Absolutely, Steve Gadd's rhythms are based on Afro-Cuban rhythmic patterns. But that this rhythm is based on the Uruguayan Candombe but in a slower tempo is a discovery to me. Thank you!
