For fucks sake. Your commentating is the worst. You need to speak less and invest in a tripod. Nobody cares the your daughter isn't there to hold the camera. I'm trying to figure out this goddamn switch not check out your drop light.

Thanks! The instructions that came with the new switch (exactly like the new one you purchased) made absolutely no sense at all. Thank you for clarifying how the wires were placed in the switch. $6.40 for a replacement switch vs. $150+ for a new fan and having to put the new fan in!

Hey I have a 90 Chev Beretta with same motor in it my problem is cranks runs great then few seconds later dies like I turned the key off. It has me stumped don't have money to just start buying parts so what do you think.

Try the simple stuff first, like spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter, battery charged up, fuel filter, fresh fuel. I hope this points you in the right direction.

Wow! This video you made three years ago helped me this weekend fix a Patton fan I really like. Someone must have pulled it by the cord because the wire inside the cord was broken. I could not figure out how to get the power wires out of the switch. A paper clip worked perfectly. 2 seconds. If I had a football I would have spiked it. Fan is all back together thanks to you generously posting what the inside of the switch looks like.

Instead of straight down the back of the switch, you go in from the side of the switch...gotcha. I actually drilled out the back of the switch to open the holes a bit. I inserted the wires and all of them caught but one. The instructions that come with this cheap made in chi na are worthless. Very frustrating. The only thing that made sense was matching the numbers and the "L" on the old switch to the same on the new. I'll revisit this I just assembled my fan, gotta mount it so it will be an easy task to move the wires to the side of the switch. Thanks for instructions.

Going to try this on my 90 Pontiac 6000 with the 3.1L. I had a code for low idle, and it was stumbling as well but not dying. I found low fuel pressure, so I gutted the fuel system with all new injectors, fuel pump fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter. Replaced the IAC, TPS, PCV, all plugs and plug wires along with a new ICM. I also cleaned the throttle body. The stumble has softened, but is still there. It only does it once warmed up. Also has a remanufactured computer. I will now replace all the coils (should have done that when I replaced the ICM), and the air box temperature probe and see if that solves the issue. Will let you know! Appreciate the tip.

I know this video was forever ago but I’m having this problem in my 93 supreme cutlass. I’ve replaced the iac value and that helped the rough idle. I’ve always replaced the throttle body and the tps sensor because they were bad but everything else fixed after that but the stalling like it would be ok for multiple miles and then all the sudden struggle at one stop light when it did fine at many before it. The cars a mystery

Let me say this, THANK YOU !!!!! Need a photo of how the wires will look like you showed. This project, which I thought would be very simple, took me 5 hours to complete. I would still be at it if not for your video. I have PTSD and anxiety, this project sent me into another realm. I took a hammer to the first one after 4 hours. After watching all three of your videos I had the task done in 20 minutes. WOW, thanks!!!

I had a 1990 3.1 Lumina that developed a severe drivability and idling problem. Turned out the low coolant sensor in the radiator had somehow shorted to ground and was sucking the 5V reference voltage down to the 2.8-3.1V range. Just something to be aware of that can happen. I wonder how many of these cars have been junked because of this.

Check all 3 videos , you might be able to see the numbers on the case where I inserted the stab ends of the wire to. If you're installing a new switch it should be accompanied by a small folded set of instructions that will indicate the position of each wire to the switch. I hope this helps.
