Peppermint in fact repels mosquitoes. They have a hard time navigating through these types of smells. It will blind an ant too.

Fixing wax is awesome on the inside of your leather! I put it on the leather stock cover on my Henry rifle! It keeps the leather from chafing it!

Paracord is fine if you wear it on your hat. If you put that around your neck, you need to make it snap, or use leather.... Otherwise it might decapitate you if you get caught on something. Paracord is tough material.
