love this song and entire album, but is this video a joke parody or what? what a diss-service to this band to have such a corny poorly exicuted music video

What a magical period the mid to late 90s was for English rock. Gem after Gem after Gem. Nowadays who is about really? Other than Muse nobody else really breaking ground. And even Muse wouldn't exist if it weren't for Radiohead.

This is the genius of Paul as for me his melodies are stronger than anything that Gallagher and Albarn ever came up with. That's one thing people can never take away from Paul is that he's always produced strong melodies from the start of his career up to his last album.

I really disliked this at first but then it grew on me to where I now think it's a decent song. This is the type of song that gets better with each listen and with each listen I'm finding new sounds that I might not have taken in on the previous listen. This is a very detailed song which is Pauls trademark signature really being the perfectionist that he is that is. The fcking solo goes to far for me, whatever it is that is.

I really like the melody of this song but I'm shocked that this is the finished song that Paul apparently was happy enough to put on the album as the finished article. I doesn't seem like a detailed song as it seems uncompleted in my view.
@todareistodomyfoot84032 ай бұрын
That does look like Paul playing the messianic character in the video, but is it really him or an actor paid to play that role?
@todareistodomyfoot84032 ай бұрын
Why do most of the songs on this album sound like they were produced for a Boy band? I hated this song at first but it did grow on me but I don't like the clean production as there's something missing from it that's stopping me from loving it. Comes As No Surprise was the best song on the album but the record company didn't think it was strong enough as a single release. Dumb ass mofo's

Brilliant song but I would have made a better video if I shit a rainbow out of my backside. The video really ruins the whole thing. I mean, the least one could do after creating a strong melodic song like this is to put a proper director behind the camera to create a film that is as good as the song.

Genius, this should have been a no. 1. It seems if you have a very strong melody with excellent lyrics now it's seen as a poor song that must go back to the end of the cue. Can anyone tell me of a decent song that has been released in the last 20 years that even comes close to this? Anyone else feel this way? Must has detreated so badly that society now just accepts mediocre music as decent music for today? I remember the first thing an artist had to have in the 80s and the 90s was a very strong melody. You don't need to have a strong melody today, it's like subliminal sounds have taken over to win the audience instead of a proper belting melody like this here by Paul Draper formerly of Mansun.
@todareistodomyfoot84032 ай бұрын
Paul Draper for me has been the only good thing about music because since the 90s era as he's the only one with proper strong belting melodies. Since Brit Pop died or that era as I don't like that label but my point is that most bands today that get into the charts are playing the producers music. Paul, not only is an artist but a producer who writes his own lyrics and sings his own melodies. His melodies are always very strong and he always delivers so I hope he's got another good album left in him. The last time I saw Paul he was way overweight and look like he was drinking too much. He doesn't look healthy so I hope he gets his act together because he's one of the best artists in the world, even if he didn't manage to play massive venues like Wembley stadium. Oasis got there by copying The Beatles and using the news papers to stay relevant every day. Paul Draper did it his way and and he's highly regarded by other artists who know the score.

A James Bond opening! Paul is up there with Bowie for writing consistently brilliant songs along with lyrics but I think Mansun would have been more successful back in the era when Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet were around.
