The panning is good advice that I'm going to use to help clear up my bass mix.

Imported some apple loops from Logic. My loops play fine in the playback plugin, but when I trigger them, there is a seam, a moments silence. Can you help?

Very informative and well done. It is also important to explain that the master input volume (gain), which is located right on top of channel 1, should be set pretty high to get the most out of the P16M

I'm new to Main Stage and want to use it for our worship services at our church. I just have a question on connectivity and how it interfaces with the mixer at the front of the house. I have a MacBook Air, with a MOTU Audio Interface. How do you get the click track to the rest of your team members? Are they all routing through your audio interface, or are they using monitors controlled by the front of the house?

Just drag your files into the mixer and it will create the appropriate # of playback strips, already grouped and linked. Saves time.

if i have may be 24 inputs on my mixer, am i limited to only 16 channel mix on the p16? if no how do i get to mix the whole 24 channels with the p16?
@Zehle325
@Zehle325 4 жыл бұрын
As far as I know the p16 is limited to 16 channels. What you can do is send a bunch of channels to a bus and let the bus be a channel on the p16. You won't be able to set the volume for those individual channels, but you'll at least get the channels in your ears. :)

Ha! You answered a very important question that I have been dealing with regarding the EQ of individual channels. You clearly showed in your video how to "find" the actual EQ setting on each channel by turning the knob for each setting until the light ring lights up. THAT is the one detail that I was missing. Thank you!

You can EQ the whole mix by selecting the Main button and then adjusting the three bands (low, mid, and high)

Great video. Will be trying some of these techniques. I play guitar, and it sounds thin and brittle coming through my in ears. I'm hoping adjusting the limiter will help normally run it at 12 o'clock any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to playback an apple drum track and then loopback a rhythm guitar. then I can play lead guitar over the playback and loopback. I need to sync the playback and the loopback tracks.

Great video thanks. You left out when panning the channels it works really well with in ear monitors or ear buds, when used with floor wedges it doesn't do anything.

If I output the click hard left, the one of my outputs, what happens to other tracks/instruments I'll be playing? Can't I do stereo anymore when I have a click?

Wait...are you saying I can adjust each channel individually with the knobs? So if I click on a channel, and adjust the bass (or whichever) it will adjust for only that particular channel? I thought when I turned a knob it adjusted for the entire mix. If this is so it's a game changer.

Actually yes it can - you just have to assign a channel to fx return. Like for example if you want reverb on your vocal channels. You go to the Ultranet settings in your mixer, assign the FX return to a channel (for example channel 16). Then on your P16 you can dial up or down the volume of that FX return. But keep in mind if you have more than one channel assigned to your FX bus (like several vocal channels) - you will be dialing up and down the FX volume for all of those channels in your ears.
