My biggest question is the basketball throw. I have seen it in many videos, including one in which the guy claimed to have personally talked to the test creator, and in most, using the overhand 'grenade throw' is allowable, but in some of the comments, people claim otherwise.

I have always wanted to go to the air force academy since I was very young and I'm finally in my junior year of high school, so I can apply this year! Hearing stories like Theo's is truly amazing and I can't wait to experience cadet life at the academy as well.

I wish the military still had the same atmosphere it did in the 40s and 50s. Then i would still join.

Doing my CFA in about two weeks. I think I'll be able to pass. Like everyone else is saying, biggest advice is to start training early. When I started training, I couldn't get the averages on ANYTHING. Now, a couple months in to training, I can surpass almost every one. Also, do at least one mock test. Doing these back-to-back makes a negative difference on your scores because you're worn out by the last couple events.

I can do pretty much everything here beyond the expected goals… except the sit-ups. I have a protruding tailbone, so I cannot do sit-ups on a hard surface. My best in two minutes is ten.

I hope my sons graduate from US air force academy . I will not let them suffer in India that has poor education policy . Here in India , they focus on theories that have no application in real life. Practical education is rare . Your brain will stop working once you graduate from Indian engineering colleges .

I am in my freshman year of highschool, I am taking all honors classes except English which is just regular, it is because I wasn’t able to take Honors English I since of my schedule. I am taking Honors French III with Juniors in my class ( I am only freshman). I am also taking Honors Geometry, Honors Bio, Honors Concert Band w/ jazz, I am also taking AP Human Geography. I did XC in the fall on the JV team and gonna do Baseball in the Spring. Every summer I go to a summer camp in Maine called Leaders School. If I keep up with things like what I am doing, will I have a shot at getting in the USAFA? I am planning on taking all Honors classes for the next years of High School w/ AP French next year along with AP US History. I also plan on taking AP Physics and Calculus, along with Engineering and coding classes in my Junior and Senior years. So do you think I have a shot?

My absolute goal is to go to the Academy, study Aeronautical Engineering, and become a USAF Pilot. Decided years ago, and have loved the air ever since my first flight. Working hard in these last few years in High School, and hopefully I’ll be ready to apply. If I don’t succeed on my first try, I will probably study at the University of South Carolina for a year and then apply again.

I don't get the shuttle run times. Recommended time is 8.7 seconds, but for what? Is it for 10 years back and forth equalling 20 yards? Or is it for 10 yard dashes 4 times in a row equalling 40 yards?
