Jimi was Amazing and always preferred singing live, performing in Concerts to recording. He can do no wrong because he sang from his Soul. What a Charismatic frontman he was. I miss this Kind Soul everyday, Sweet JIMI was one of a kind. ♥️✨♥️✨♥️

Thanks for the clarification in the video description! We also have to take into account that the band did many concerts one after the other, as Frankie said, but my beautiful Jimi did great! He loved singing live,

@@EastDetroitMusic-Sirens3000A I'm a 100% sure they re recorded it cuz in high on you Jimmy sang the lyrics wrong near the end he said "let me tell you about the girl i had" instead of "met" and in the "auto tuned" version he sang the lyrics correctly

Yeah. I was disappointed by the other version as I could tell the vocals had been edited. This is much better because it’s a natural performance, and I didn’t hear any vocal mistakes but rather a real live performance. Remember kiddies, everything that’s played live today and for the last two decades or so, the vocals go through a vocal processor. Not so in the good ol days

Hello sonny mtv, three years ago, you replied to someone on your channel that you "got more Steve Perry / Journey demos, and would upload them when you'd have more time". Is this still part of your plans today? Personally, I'd still love to hear them.

Hi @@sonnymtv3960! After listening to your files, here is some information I can provide about the various tracks on this compilation: 01 - Let Him Go (04:21) *Never officially released, probably recorded between 1991/93, before Perry's solo album For the Love of Strange Medicine.* 02 - Let It Rock You (04:39) *Journey demo never officially released, probably from their 1985 project Freedom (renamed Raised on Radio in 1986).* 03 - With a Tear (03:13) *Journey demo from their 1985 album Freedom, officially released on Time3 in 1992.* 04 - Don't Tell Me Why You're Leavin' (04:48) *From his Street Talk solo album, 1984* 05 - It's only love (03:09) *From his Street Talk solo album, 1984* 06 - I Believe (04:26) *From his Street Talk solo album, 1984* 07 - She's Mine (04:15) *From his Street Talk solo album, 1984* 08 - Foolish Heart (03:31) *From his Street Talk solo album, 1984* 09 - Captured By The Moment (03:46) *From his Street Talk solo album, 1984* 10 - Go Away (03:49) *From his Street Talk solo album, 1984* 11 - Lost Angels (04:20) *Co-written with Clif Magness probably between 1991/93, originally intended for Perry´s solo album For the Love of Strange Medicine, never officially released.* 12 - Get Your Face Out Of Here (03:47) *Pre-Journey or Journey demo, between 1975/78, never officially released.* 13 - Somebody, Somewhere (04:13) *Co-written with Phil Brown in 1991, never officially released.* 14 - Just Another Heartache (03:52) *Renamed by you "Nothing But A Heartache", probably an abandoned demo from Perry's solo albums Street Talk in 1984 or Against The Wall in 1988/89, never officially released.* 15 - Congratulations (04:22) *Probably recorded between 1991/93, before Perry's solo album For the Love of Strange Medicine, never officially released.* 16 - Come On And Love Me (02:27) *Alien Project demo from 1977 under the name "My My My", officially released as a bonus track on Street Talk's 2006 CD reissue.* 17 - Running for love (04:57) *Alien Project demo from 1977 under the name "Makes No Difference", officially released as a bonus track on Street Talk's 2006 CD reissue.* 18 - Special Kind Of Love (03:59) *Alien Project demo from 1977 under the name "Harmony", officially released as a bonus track on Street Talk's 2006 CD reissue.* 19 - Holdin' On (03:19) *Alien Project demo from 1976/77, never officially released.* 20 - Oh Sherrie (karaoke version) (03:50) *As far as I know, never officially released.* To my knowledge, the instrumental version of "Oh Sherrie" and the full version of "Let Him Go" don't yet exist on KZbin, only a truncated version for the latter, which I think would be worth updating. What do you think of it? 😉

I see you're a die hard Perry / JOurney fan. My fav Perry (not Journey) solo tracks of all times are either ''Melody''', which is 6-5-2-3-5flat-2-1 in the verse and 1-6-4-5 in the chorus in Eflat key. Or ''Captured by the moment'' which has progression 6-4-6-5 - > 1-5-3-4 in the verse and pre chorus, and 6-4-4-5-3-4 in the chorus, amazing track. One thing to notice though, to make your list more detailed and accurate, i must add that the demo of "Captured by the moment" i sent you is the real studio demo that has never been released on youtube except by me, you won't find it. What also it makes it very interesting is the fact that the demo of ""CAptured"" i posted here and sent you is in it's original high B minor key. But in official Steve Perry album version "Captured" is half a step lower in B flat minor. Judging by the sound of the album record of the track i assume the track was slowed down after the fact to make it sound more deep and low. I don't know why they did it. Demo version in higher key in this demo sounds much better. Anyways, i got all Journey, Perry, Neal SChon, Greg Rolie albums, these guys were all great. I don't understand why John Cain gets all the flak, i don;t care about his evangelist stuff, nobody is perfect, but John Cain has amazing raw talent, he wrote many hit songs for many artists, not only for Journey. Cain, Perry, Rolie, SChon, there are all equally important o me. Pineda, i can't listne to him. Hi sings very good, but has no soul for me. They Should have stuck with JEff SCott Soto, much more soulful singer even though he's a tenor, not soprano, but who cares. It's not how high you sing, it is how well you sell the song. Pineda God bless him, i don't feel him, does nothing to me..

speaking of John Cain, one of the hit songs he wrote for other artists of the top of my head that pops out right now immediately i can name for example are these two tracks. Cain wrote this track for Loverboy, at least arranged the melody. Mike Reno was a beast on vocals, i place him in top 5 right next to Perry, Mickey Thomas, Jimi Jammison.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqLEY4Kia6d7mpo Cain also did this track for ex UNrully vocalist MArk Free (who later as tragedy has it changed his sex from male to a woman.. sad... goddamn lgbt ideology fucked up brains ) for his new band then at the time Signal ...anyways he/she was amazing singer.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKPLdaCBhcykmbs

they've pitched corrected Jamison's live performances on the Survivor official channel, including Feels Like Love. There is now an isolated vocals video of Jamison singing Burning Heart live in 86 without pitch correction on ZippyM channel. You can hear what he really sung on stage that time. Would never thought Frankie would agree to pitch correcting performances on his channel. Queen's official channel has pitched corrected Freddie on his live 76 performance. People have the use of pitch monitor now that detects auto-tuning, so the data generated shows vocals that had been manipulated. Freddie would be rolling in his grave. :(

fuck pitch correction, fuck 00s music and producers.. Jim Peterik once said while working in a studio with Mike Reno, Jim was at the desk and Mike sang, and you can find it on youtube. Jim goes something like : "Great note Mike, a bit flat, we could fix it with pitch correction , but we're not gonna do that, real men don't pitch correct, real men sing and re-sing". I knew Frankie Sullivan was pitch correcting videos on Survivor channel, didn't know about Queen. The only case of editing vocals when it comes to Queen i was aware of was that of 1992 Tribute To Freddie Mercury concert videos. For example Seal sounds wonderful on official video, but if you check FM radio recording from that day, Seal couldn't handle a note, he was that horrible. Other artsists were voice edited i am sure as well... I begin to wonder whether remastered CDs from Survivor i have were already remastered.. gonna have to check...

No: "In 1991, Steve Perry was introduced to Phil Brown, who is also a musician, by Perry’s manager Bob Cavallo, who encouraged him to work with Brown to write songs that would meet Perry’s standards. Perry met Brown at Brown’s home in Sylmar, California and they wrote two songs together, Somebody Somewhere and Don’t Push the River, and Brown showed Perry two other songs that Brown had previously written. To evaluate these four songs, Perry recorded a vocal performance of each song on an eight track tape recorder Brown kept in his garage. Perry loaned Brown $1,500 for the use of his garage and eight track tape recorder used to record his performances, as described in the administration agreement they signed in August 1991. Perry's recordings were made exclusively for “demo” purposes, so that he could determine if the songs were creatively acceptable to him. Perry never intended or expected to publically release these recordings and certainly never authorized their public release. He also never intended those vocal performances to form a part of a larger sound recording in which anyone else would have a copyright interest, and he at all times intended to have sole copyright ownership of the vocal performances he recorded at Brown’s home. Perry’s homerecordings did not have the same quality as a studio recording, and although his vocal performances allowed him to evaluate whether he wanted to pursue development of the songs, his performances lacked the studio quality necessary for any type of public release. As a result, neither those recordings nor those vocal performances met or meet Perry’s standards for public release. Perry ultimately decided that the vocal performances were not appropriate for public release and none of the songs created in 1991 appeared on his 1994 For the Love of Strange Medicine album. Perry left the tapes of his four recorded songs in the possession of Brown. Perry never worked with Brown after 1991 and he never asked him to return the tapes of his four recorded songs." _(Stephen Perry vs Phil Brown case)_
