Interesting. I have 3 bottles, bought way back when. Just tried first one yesterday, it needed a longer decant than 1.5 hrs so will keep in mind for the next two. One of a kind wine though, very powerful taste experience. A shame to swallow.

Hi James, I just got back from Bordeaux, we stayed in Pessac Leognan and then St Estephe. What classification is this wine?

I just lit one up, Gran Reserva from 07, yes the age smoothed it out, I am not getting any bitterness just smoothness now. I had a lusitania from 99 and there is a richness it had that these don't. however the smell coming off this is also sweet and chocolatey. I do like that quarter way in I can feel the strength I was wondering if it would have lost strength as the 1999s did. funny I watched this vid in 2007 never thought I would be commenting this in Nov2024
