I feel like I'm the only person who's ever googled this game remotely at all since it's announcement, Outright games as far as I'm aware is not a developer, they are a publisher, I understand they typically publish underwhelming games, but we should really stop overlooking actual developers, speaking of the developer for this game made a 3D brawler platformer before in 2016 called Heart and Slash, it was flawed but it was unique and ultimately a good time, you could tell they had a pretty intimate understanding of character action games(DMC, Bayonetta, old God of War, Vanquish etc.) and the game they made was an easy entry roguelike take on the genre. Because of this dev and that game, I changed my tune on this game from absolutely no, to cautious optimism once the name of the game was revealed and the actual developer was stated, it has been 8 years since Heart & Slash came out I'd imagine the devs have learned a lot from it and can probably make an even better game out of Mutants Unleashed with all the feedback they got from their first outing. Anyways the reason I mention being the only person to have ever googled this game remotely is because there are at least 9 different hands-on impressions of this game from Gamescom and every last one of them were positive regarding the game, most of them went in with the exact skepticism regarding Outright games and licensed titles in general that I couldn't fully shake and that's mentioned in this video, and went out stating things like it was anything but a shallow movie tie-in and that if anything is clear it's really not a cash grab. Notable features include Persona inspired progression and social links, a dynamic difficulty level where enemies mutate and change depending on the player's skill level, there is a high emphasis on skill in fact you are graded for every individual combat encounter and then given an overall mission ranking based on all of those grades put together, just like Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta or DMC, the game even straight up includes Devil May Cry's style meter like just straight up has it, combat has been compared to the PS2 God of War games, Heavenly Sword, Bayonetta, and most of all Devil May Cry. about every one of the impressions has noted the difficulty being surprisingly tough, and the representatives during their session stated while Outright Games typically likes to put out titles for kids, this game is unique in that it is being made to also appeal to an older demographic too, thus explaining why the difficulty level was high. I could go on, but anyway don't take it from me, look up impressions from TheGamer, Screenrant, BeyondGaming, DailyNintendo etc. I don't think the marketing or the trailers are doing it many favors but if it means anything the game has two different collectors editions, an artbook, a season pass, a toyline collab(this hasn't happened for a game since Battle Nexus) likely entered development sometime before the movie was even finished and has had more than a year of devtime, has been playable behind closed doors for journalists, and was even playable to the public running on an Xbox devkit for 4 days straight at FanExpo Canada, visually it looks great, and early impressions are positive. I'm not saying it's in the clear yet, but I think no one is really doing it any favors or giving credit where it's due I just think all of this is a bit much for a cash grab, this isn't a AAA game, this is a AA game and good, we need more of those, I'm optimistic about it and I hope this was enough to establish why. The last thing I'll mention is that TMNT Shredder's Revenge, a game most people consider the best TMNT game ever was made by a dev who beforehand maybe their most notable title at least under their own name and dev studio was Mercenary Kings a title that garnered middling reviews, everyone starts somewhere.

For me if it's just another beat em up game like every tmnt game I'm wait for it to be cheap

I get what your saying a few years ago I had the account that I uploaded stuff I wanted to make and it didn't do well then I made this plush video and it got views so I kept doing it btw the videos were bad content so I decided to stop and make stuff I like and it didn't do as well but now I upload the two on my channel so it works out well but that's just me. As a storyboard artist who's wants to one day create a show i know exactly how it feels when it comes to creativity before i always studied animadics but i was scared to actually make one let alone post it online but i learned that you'll never grow as an artist if you don't try and now months later i made a tales of the tmnt animadic for the world to see is it flawed totally but i had fun making it and because i had fun making it it eventually found an audience same with KZbin in general when talking about different things its going to be a weird transition that not everyone will be up more but that doesn't mean you should stop do it more slowly train your audience to watching other topics show them why you love those topics it's always better when everybody be themselves it might not start out easy but let's all be brave enough to try 🧡
