@@JanetLouisePenyistas Yes. "Live at the Paramount" is my favorite live album of all time. Which is saying something when you consider live albums by Peter Frampton, Cheap Trick, and Jackson Browne were considered the top live albums of my young adulthood. I owned 600+ vinyl albums, stacked neatly in rows against the wall. I owned a top-of-the-line turntable and waist high speakers. It was built into my youth culture to meet new people, invite them over, smoke a joint, and let them choose an album to play. My house rule was simple. I'll play anything you want from my collection, but we must listen to the entire album front to back. We were music connoisseurs. I'll play music until you cry uncle. I will outlast you with both the weed and the music. I attended hundreds of live concerts featuring most of the top bands in their prime. You name them, I have seen them. My five favorite concerts of all time. 1) Chuck Berry. Entertainer, storyteller, stand-up comedian, and guitar player extraordinaire. No fuzz, no distortion, no wah-wah, every note crystal clear just daring you to find a mistake. Every tune legendary and recognizable. It felt more like a Broadway rock musical than a concert. It left an indelible impression on me. 2) Ringo's All-Starr Band: Featuring Ringo Starr, Burton Cummings, Joe Walsh, Dave Edmunds, Ringo's son, and some dudes from the Eagles. "Rocky Mountain Way" sent chills down my spine and the concert ended with a crowd sing along to "Yellow Submarine". 3) Black Oak Arkansas. Jim Dandy is exponential charisma. You simply have to see him perform to believe it. Dude just has that aura. I caught his washboard. I can see it displayed right now as I type this. 4) Rolling Stones. Consummate professionals. No detail left to chance. They are literally perfection. No one can put on a better show. Masters of live production. Mick Jagger knows the music business better than anyone alive. 5) Grateful Dead. It is all about the time travel. If you never went to Woodstock, then this was your best chance to approximate it. It literally felt like 1969. It can't happen unless the crowd is fully into the era cosplay. Trust me, they know exactly what environment they are trying to create. Similar to "Rocky Horror Picture Show", the crowd is an integral part of the experience.
