Great to see what UK wildlife gets up to whilst we are asleep. Loved it when the cat popped in to check what was going on 😆Last time I saw a fox it was snowing and it was walking down the road. Cool moment. Keep the wild life videos coming 💪

Very sick hedgehog. Please take to rescue centre
@LandscapingSolutionsManchesterАй бұрын
@@richardhughes1076 We did check the hedgehog over but it seemed fine. We watched it walk towards us for about 50 metre thinking it must be sick or in need of food. When we fed the hedgehog it eat some of the food then disappeared for 2 hours before coming back to eat the rest of the food. We regularly get hedgehogs and feed them so it must of just wanted food. But if we see a sick hedgehog or feel it is sick we will take it to a rescue centre.

Please do not feed wet food with sauce or jelly, either pate or dry cat food, hedgehogs get diarrhea from jelly or sauce
@LandscapingSolutionsManchester2 ай бұрын
Usually I only feed the hedgehogs a specific dry food designed for them. However if the wet, cold autumn and winter I sometime feed them a wet cat food which will help them get through winter if they have a shortage of natural food source products to eat.

@@LandscapingSolutionsManchester We have a lot of hedgehogs in the garden and I feed them with dry cat food and soldier fly larvae all year round. Water is of course available everywhere in the garden

That needs a border
@LandscapingSolutionsManchester Жыл бұрын
Hello you may of wanted a border installed if this was your patio. However the Customer did not want a border when we design the patio and I personally do not like borders. They suit certain types of paving but not all types of paving.

I think you need to explain that real grass is better than artificial yes. However the previous lawn was a much more diverse habitat for many critters. That said amn this is an absolutely AMAZING job. Looks fantastic. Just not necessarily a better habitat 👍🙏
@LandscapingSolutionsManchester Жыл бұрын
Hello Thank you. Yes I agree I should have elaborated more on this in the video however it is a KZbin short and I did not have the time to explain everything so here is why. Artificial grass lawns are made of between 150 mm to 200 mm depth sub base of drainage stone. This type of sub base is not good for wildlife as it is usually lime based stone and no wildlife will generate it that. Real grass lawns provide a habitat for wildlife, absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. It is better to keep the real grass lawns longer than the manicured lawns as have you mentioned they will be more diverse for habitats. It was a shame that the owner wanted the lawn to be lowered and levelled however he still wanted a real grass lawn re installed for wildlife to thrive🙏🏻👍🏻
