whats the point of having new experiences when you are finally going to be ghosted or ditched again or you are gonna get lonely again? is it worth to even go out then? isnt it exhausting?
@sarahtakesnotes12 сағат бұрын
@@mj25423 hi! I think anything that happens outside your house is an experience. It doesn't just apply to dating but also taking job interviews, trying new things, food and activities etc... But to your question specifically, I think "finding the one" has become some sort of expectation that people put on themselves without realizing how that mostly causes idealisation. What helped me is accepting the fact that people you meet are 90% of the time not going to be the one, and the fact that you experienced ghosting (as I did and everyone else too at least once in their lives) is the reflection of that. You're not a perfect fit for everyone and I'm sure you haven't thought the ones that ghosted you were neither. Take it as it is, a person not finding in you what they need, and you seeing the act of them not giving you a proper explanation for their decision as them not meeting your standards in communication. I'm happy to say I've learned a lot and I will keep learning from people, whether it is a characteristic I don't wanna have in a partner, or parts of me I wanna work on, or things or traits that I now like that I didn't know of! And also, the more you learn to appreciate your alone time, the more you won't need to be reassured by someone else. Getting to know new people will be fun and exciting, and not stressful or demanding. Focus on your hobbies and passions, (maybe the kind of person you're looking for is there and looking for someone to share interests in!)

When you have been living in Vienna your whole life, you truly forget how beautiful this city is.
@sarahtakesnotes11 күн бұрын
It's such a human thing to do!! The longer you lived or known something the easier it is to see its "flaws", and you just begin focusing on them. But truth is, a change of perspective will always remind you why it's still your home :)

I would love to visit Italy but I’m just thinking about the racial abuse Black people receive in Italy.
@sarahtakesnotes14 күн бұрын
Hi! I get what you mean, but I also think you should not prevent yourself from visiting Italy because of that, as it's really an amazing and rich country. For what I've seen and lived, people are normally minding their own things, and if racism happens, it's more towards (mostly) black people that already live (or are trying to get the citizenship) here, not visitors. The thing that should be more concerning is safety and catcalling, and that comes from all types of ignorance, not just racism. Don't go out alone too late at night or in bad areas, stay away from groups of men, don't rely on people you don't know and don't look confused or scared. I've been to most regions of Italy and never experienced racism directly towards me if not in my own town. But mostly it's people looking at you and wondering where you're from or why your hair looks like that, and that might comes off as rude and entitled. As I previously stated, most danger comes from being a woman honestly... You will always get different opinions on that, as we are all different and encounter different people and situations, but I'm really strong on doing your own experience. Stay in fear will only limit you. hope you change your mind on visiting!
