That is how the USS James T Kirk was hardpointed - her phaser bursts were shorter duration, but more damaging (contrasted to the typical longer duration, lower damage during said duration)

@@MSR-1701 Thanks for the reply. I was curious as some phaser bursts were so short they didn't even contact the other ship. They also didn't change the colour on the weapons readout, the phaser banks stayed bright green. It is similar when other ships are used too.

@UnChannelDuVulpineX the Tactical Icons are set on the ships Hardpointfile, and may or may not be set with the ideal icon placement (some have overlapping placement, some not at all, depending on the mod). And missed shots are related to Inaccurate Phasers (included in one of the key Tech Scripts), which flares up a LOT more when there is a speed gap between the target and you (though using Manual Targeting, hotkey G) and passing your cursor over a pixel of the foe will allow them to be hit.😅👍

the Deridex may be underpowered, but I guess it was pitted here against a much more advanced Sovereign version. I don't know much about the ship versions though, but iirc correctly, the Warbird also had new adaptations. This one is the basic one, met throughout the show. But I remember towards the end seasons of TNG that newer versions appeared. At least one, at the end, where Data commits sacrifice.

technically its stronger then a galaxy class since Picard stated that in tng.

I should of put it in the read me but this version of the Warbird is a post Nemesis War Refit, and the Sovereign that was in this video was WC’s,, basically First Contact version so of course this Warbird outclassed the E, In the next video I plan to post will be the Warbird seen in this video against my Post Nemesis Sovereign, I’m guessing the Warbird isn’t going to survive that encounter, thanks for watching,,,🖖

@@steveperuski5547 that makes more sense. War refit a D'Deridex class and it is a scary beast, like the war refit Galaxy class.
