Must have guide again my friend. I'm back this week with a loadcell brake and braking much closer to your points now! I have a particularly hard time picking up on braking points when there aren't clear markers and your little brown patches and tire marks are a life saver.

It’s insane how you do this on fixed setup, I’m trying this car on this track for the first time and I’ve done 5 laps and cannot match that line at all, I’m somehow reaching 4th gear most time you’re reaching max 3rd

@@Erilla01Well I realised I was using the 2010 mx5 and that’s why I was so slow 😂, I did a couple races in the car in the video and managed to get 2 poles and a win in rookie because of your guide, so thank you for that, however, I am struggling with the flow through 7, 8 and 9 and it’s costing me 7 tenths apparently

Hey man! a few days ago I started playing iRacing, and since then I've been practicing with this car on this track. However, even on the start-finish straight, when I press the throttle fully, I can only reach a maximum of 100 kph. How can I fix this issue?
@R2ROVas4 күн бұрын
Assuming you're shifting through all the gears with no problem, I would check your units and see if you're not using imperial, 100mph is pretty close to 160kph. If that's fine, you might have to do the pedal calibration either in Windows or in-game.

This time was set on lap 8 out of 12, with looking at the time this season, it does not look like people are destroying tires.

I love these cars, and have been driving them with an h-pattern/clutch/heel-toe etc. Are you just doing sequential with auto-blip? If so, how much do you think using the shifter/clutch loses someone in time? I love the immersion in sim when I'm using all the peripherals, but I also don't want to just be slow because I'm trying to follow what iRacing says the car has for a transmission.
@Erilla0114 күн бұрын
I use sequential paddels, but that is down to my shifter not working, I dont use auto blip, i do it my self, and I dont think you loose time woth a h pattern in this car

I am so super confused with you goingp to 95% brake pressure. My braking performance is better at around 80%. Don't these cars have abs?
@Erilla0115 күн бұрын
They do yeah
@Czeslaw_cn4tv13 күн бұрын
Many guides on how to drive the MX5 mention to not go over 80% as you will overwork the tyres and leave less grip for the later stages. So I think what you're doing is correct.

Does the ABS turn on after 80% brake pressure?
@Erilla0115 күн бұрын
Im not really sure when it turns on
@Johl397 күн бұрын
Somewhere around 80% but i'd say it also depends on the tire temp, angle and track.

For context, this was my first race in iRacing and I learned the track about an hour before the race It takes me a whole day to learn and feel comfortable with a track in real life on a motorcycle Which is why I think your guides are good (used them for VIR North to practice before going there in real life)
