I love the attitude your guest had though all of that: simple decision, no drama, done! (or at least it seems so:)

Tak właśnie budowanie tego fundamentu w sobie jest ważne. widzę też, że przynależność się czuje wtedy kiedy się skupiamy na tym co mamy wspólnego z innymi a nie skupiamy się na różnicach i porównywaniu.

Happiness should have been found in the marriage. Leaving a marriage is setting women up for future depression.

That is the best outcome, if we can make our marriages work. Does not always happen though... also what creates depression for anyone? Mindset. Not everyone will be depressed... not if they understand how to manage their mind.

Love those RRRRRs! :D Being an immigrant brings specific challenges.. one of them that after many years we often feel like immigrants in our original country too.

That's a great point! I've met one immigrant when I lived in Poland and I remember how my behavior towards him was so similar to how people treated me here. I was a bit disoriented... kind of like: Who is this human being? How come he was born somewhere else, but now lives in Poland and speaks broken Polish. I thought he was odd... well I got to experience the other side of that coin quite often...
