I killed this thing, thinking it was a higher level enemy. Got them the 2nd time. The first time I got pinned by enemies so I couldnt roll or move out, got ganked. 🙃 Luckily, hes now in the ground on his head home 😂

Hey y'all. FFX was part of my childhood, and as a trophy hunter it was definitely something I sought to 100%. If the method shown here isn't working for you, I use an alternative for every playthrough. Instead of relying on Jecht Shot I would stick with Sphere Shot. There are a couple reasons for this: firstly, Jecht Shot requires a large amount of HP per attempt, meaning at this low level you'll probably get just a single opportunity to use it. Secondly, Sphere Shot can be timed to give you an even higher shot total than Jecht Shot, so if you're able to manipulate defender's positioning or break tackles for a free shot you can mathematically guarantee a goal. To isolate Tidus for these opportunities you can "bait" opponents out of position; simply getting close enough to them to trigger their AI pursuit allows you to pull them away from your intended pass target. If you're finding it difficult to create those opportunities, then simply score a goal or two and retain possession of the blitzball. You cannot concede a goal if the opponent can't get the ball, and as long as you don't retreat all the way to your own goal the opponents won't rush you; there are even some small areas combined with the opponent's defensive setup that create a scenario where they won't even pursue you at all, though it looks ridiculous hahaha Doing this I can usually secure a win of 4 or 5 - 0 in the first game.

And if you wanna get technical man, let's say anyone plays an average of 10 hands 6/4 she getting better cards than you depending on those odds sometimes I'd even say more like 7 for her 3 for you to win out of.and can be switched both ways depending on rng luck I'm assuming. Good tips, but not necessary to get the Jecht shot, creative passing and movement can enable you to get Tidus or Datto in 1on1 situations...move them close to goal shoot after breaking against a single defender. Passing is key and you can level every player on your team. Important when Goers get the ball.

My first and only win was weird.. it was on auto mode.. i just passed the ball to tidus to shoot and wakka in 2nd half.. it tied 2-2 so it went overtime but wakka still got the W... and i read a forumn that auto mode won't let you win vs luca the first time.. lol

I’ve won 4 to 0. The key is upping Tidus’ and Letty experience gain in the first half by pulling back to the besaid goal and passing between them. You can gain multiple levels doing this. Letty will be able to pass further in the second half and Tidus has more hp for the Jecht shot. Though I do try for a last minute score in the first half before I run out of hp.

These puzzles are so annoying

What keeps making me lose is how terrible the auto movement is for the rest of the team. My team keeps leaving the center wide open and doing dumb things like swimming in circles instead of flanking or chasing the ball holder on the opposing team. I've tried 4 times already and it feels like the crane game.. where I'm just meant to lose every time.

On the PS2 version of FFX I managed to beat the Luca Goers before the Halftime with a score of 7-0.

The hardest thing at this part in the game is the rng.

I'm pretty sure if you want to break the ai you can score one goal and then swim with the ball behind your own goal and the opposition can't do anything about it for the remainder of the time. Makes for a less fun game but if you're struggling for the win get jecht shot, score then hog the ball and break the ai to victory

That first game is a bitch but afterwards when you recruit the guy in Luca, the guy at Rins Travel Agency and the girl on the Moonflow you literally may not lose another game as long as you have Jecht shot. I can easily get 7 goals in a game
