Old video so this may be resolved already. But a tip to retain viewers: Get directly to the point. No asking for likes, no "sorry it's been a while" and no backstory. This one is especially bad in that a less than 11 minute video spends nearly 8 minutes talking about something other than what the title and cover photo say it will be. Also, viewers won't stay around for the entire time lapse. Check out your metrics for this video. Where are people dropping off or skipping? I'd guess within thy first few seconds of your backstory most often, second most right at 10 minutes when you announce you're done with the video, and third in the middle of the time lapse.

I totally get what you're saying. I try and get right to the point on my newer videos. This video was meant to motivate someone who has never started a garden. The back story was to show them my start in gardening. This video has a lot of comments like yours and a lot of comments that are very positive. It's interesting how people see things differently. Thanks for the feedback.

Just found your channel today and binge watched the whole From Scratch series. I've been gardening for about 25 years, and love growing my own from saved seeds. I just watched episode 11 and saw all the grass sneaking back in. Do you pull it out by hand every spring? How do you stay on top of it? Thank you for sharing these videos!

Well it’s been a hard battle keeping it out this season. I weeded whack everything down and covered everything with cardboard and put straw in the beds and wood bark in the walkways. It worked for 1 seasons helping to keep the weeds more manageable. I didn’t lay cardboard down this season. This year the garden has been a complete disaster in terms of weeds. I’ve been so busy at work and doing other thing I haven’t had time to pull them out and that grass is a nightmare to deal with. It finds its way out from underneath the mulch and cardboard and can spread and set root’s along the way. This is part of the reason I haven’t been posting videos on this channel. I’m rethink the types of videos I want to make for the gardening channel. I also have a how to channel that I focus more on these days. I show people how to fix things around the house. I’m The Ultimate Handyman on KZbin if you want to check that out. Being a KZbin viewer what types of videos would you want to watch about gardening? Thanks again for binge watching my videos I appreciate it.

I've asked an irrigation company to install the filter in my raised bed valve box, and after it was installed it didn't have enough flow rate to work. Trouble shooting, we connected it to the hose to see what the water pressure looked like and it significantly reduced water flowing from the hose. We looked at the specifications on the cartridge and it showed a 0.5 flow rate. The irrigation guy said he thought it would need to be at least 6. I would really like to make this with. Any ideas?

ONE MORE SUGGESTION: ten minutes in, TEN MINUTES before you even went to topic of video!! rename to something like: " The History of MY Life, MY FAMILIES Life, MY gardens over the years, MY health issues, MY FAMILIES Life Choices, and oh yeah a couple minutes of how i started yet another garden. " good lord. no subscription or like from me. sorry

Thank you, I'm going to try to save my 4 yr. old rhubarb plants by using DE. It appears pill bugs/rollie pollies have quickly killed off two of my rhubarb plants already & only two plants are left. {{A word of caution, the diatomaceous {DE} earth will absolutely kill bees, butterflies, lady bugs and some other beneficial insects. So when I use DE I'm going to use it sparingly carefully just in the problem area around the base of my plants.}}

This just happened to me. All my poor sprouts were ravaged. 😮💨 I used DE and transplanted some flowers and herbs. Got a small greenhouse for seed starts and plan on using a neem/castille spray and beer traps. Clay pots with slug bait is my final line of defense. 😂

My water spigot is in the middle of my 2 garage doors. And I have a brick retaining wall on one side of the driveway that I need to get over to my flower bed. You started with you had your system up and over your garage door. I am wondering if i run the system from the spigot and over my garage door and up if it will work. Will there be enough pressure to get it up and over?

It's annoying for your garden yes, but stop with the fucking conspiracy roundup shit, roundup is the least of your problems when it comes to harming human health, there are way worse pesticides out there and everyone just focuses regardless of what the science shows on roundup because its the most popular. You are benefiting the monocrop pesticide laden megafarms that actually harm the environment by erroneously focusing on roundup. It degrades rapidly in the soil and isn't harmful to humans unless you spray it on plants you immediately harvest and eat after or drink it.

It’s the original transmission. Its never been rebuilt. I’ve only had to change the accumulator spring. It has 220,000 miles on it. The truck weighs about 10,000 with tool box and I also tow a 26 foot toy hauler. I’m amazed it’s lasted this long. I was considering doing an Allison swap on it. I definitely need a newer truck.

I feel your pain! Im worried about my kids health. Im a new homeowner,bought a house a year ago just to find out my neighbours spray killex on their lawn 1 m away from the fence. I got a garden right next to the fence. Killex is carcenigenic and neurotoxic. I convinced 1 neighbour on one side to stop using lawn services but i dont know how to approach the other neighbour as we are not really buddy-buddy with them. There is a safer alretnative based on iron.
