I heard it was written many moons ago after a fisherman heard it coming from the water of a calm, quiet night. Nobody believed there were Humpback whales anywhere near there for ages, but now we know there are occasionally. It does sound Humpback whaley!

That's a great story. The idea of fishermen unknowingly hearing the songs of humpback whales and weaving them into their music is fascinating. And you're right, it does have a Humpback whaley vibe!

I wish more talented musicians would do this and make and publish backing tracks so people like me who don't have anyone to play with (the whistle is not exactly popular where I live) can actually play along and make music. Lovely video, much appreciated.

Hi Pedro, I have been playing the Irish whistle only a few months and your music has inspired me to keep going, I love the slow Aires, I am currently playing the Dixon 005x but want to upgrade but which one, I have seen you play the wild and the killarney, which would you recommend, all the best from South Wales.
