We can land men on the moon, but we still don't have a Basset Talk-Human English Dictionary! (I don't need one; always knew what my dear sweet basset was trying to say). Man, I adore this breed. But young bassets - like most dogs - don't want to be lonely and left on their own when you leave them. Don't do it. Get fish in aquarium instead. Rescue an older basset perhaps or an older doggie?

I posted this video long ago. My love for Abbey has become so strong. She got glaucoma at 8yrs old and lost one eye. Nearly two years later she lost the second and is totally blind the last two years. She is now 12. What you might believe is that she is the most popular dog in the USA! We traveled in 2021 and 2022 from Seattle to the South and Southeast. She was adored everywhere we went, like a celebrity. People absolutely flock to her. My new neighborhood she is a star, and oddly enough there are 5 Basset Hounds in this town of 12k.

@@dagsterblaster4973 I was watching Pumpkin Eater on TCM this evening. Decent movie but star of the show was a basset hound. More interested in doggie than the movie and actors. Priority. Got to think of a way to get me another basset at age 73 -me, not basset. I love them so. Funny, sharp, sense of humor. Intelligent? Heck, yes. The best! And I think they smell real great. I have always been an Aqua Velva Man and so was my basset.

If a trail trashes your bike, it's showing the trail respect to leave a piece of your bike as it's souvenir of superiority over you as a rider.... In Canada there's a trail so hard it's called Museum Pieces, for that very reason.

The sole is glued on. Not stitched on.
@dagsterblaster49737 ай бұрын
No. The SRS sole is glued on, but neither the SG12 or Crossfire TA have glued on soles. They are "welted" soles. I've had the SRS in every pair separate at about 18-24 months, as eventually a combo of water and heat kill the glue. But the two in this video are free from that risk.

Eastern Cascades now have places that are either clear of snow or almost so. But, the trails may still need clearing work from winter blow down of trees. Wenatchee and Leavenworth are areas in this category, and usually about now teams of volunteers go in and clear trails.

Thanks for sharing these, really appreciate to somewhat have an idea of what I may be getting into. Wondering if it's a bad idea to do these trails solo. I'm not a beginner but also not that used to long single track trails (mostly due to fitness lol) Hope I catch you guys in one of these rides, I just got a new 501 and am planning a few rides around this area in a couple of weeks. Cheers
@dagsterblaster49737 ай бұрын
Lack of experience, not in the best of shape, solo.... pretty good recipe for trouble. I suggest you find a group of guys to ride with and learn from. If you go on a weekend to many of these places you'll find a number of folks on the trails that may let you join them for a ride. At least if you ride during a busy day, should you get in trouble you'd at least have people to rescue you. Riding off road solo, above pay grade, at night, bad weather, while injured...all things I've done and while not every time ends in trouble, it ofeen has and I have the memories and injuries to remember those rides by. I've also helped people that were injured or in serious risk of injury.

@@dagsterblaster4973 you are totally right, but just to be honest I’ve been riding for 25+ years (off-road from dirt to adv bikes) mostly solo, just zero experience with hard enduro. I’ll take your advice though and take my time. Thanks!

Person with the camera was close enough to knock the other man off of a cliff 🤪. I like your videos but I've been riding off-road since 1968 and I know you've got to put enough space between yourself and the bike ahead of you so if you hit your breaks while in loose rocks which sometimes you won't even see, your front tire won't hit his back tire and send him off a cliff possibly killing him but making a fun day horrible at the very least, SHEESH.

Relax. I’m not as close as it appears. I used the video editor to zoom in a bit to get more detail. That said, I did ask 30Cal to follow close and tight so the viewer gets a good feel for the trail.
