Norman and the guys gave me so much musical pleasure back in the 70’s/80’s in the Champion. How much would I pay to see them again? Songs are just brilliant. I am sat here singing and remember every word. That tells you something of my love for his work 30 years later.

Why the deliberate close up on his teeth? Vini suffered a stroke in 2010. Such disrespect shown towards a brilliant legendary guitarist.

I hear what you're saying, and on face value, I agree. He deserved greater financial renumeration for the beautiful work he produced, he didn't deserve the ill health/strokes whatsoever. He seems a gentle, intelligent, insightful, introverted man and I wish the world had been kinder to him. But, close your eyes and listen to what he said, he wrote music that will live on forever and more importantly it'll be un-dateable. For an artist to still be alive and know that his music will live on, reach new audiences and be highly respected by those who truly love music. Well- if that was Vini's purpose, he achieved it and that twinkle of contentment in those beautiful blue eyes says he's aware of his contribution.
