Megadeth have the ability to change also. They have always been evolving, they even had a DVD called "Evolver"! And they've always been experimenting, e.g. on "Into the lungs of hell" they used french horns and harmonica on "Train of Consequences" just to name a few.

This performance is almost as scary and heavy as black metal or death metal!

true man...in megadeth dave solos are fucking easy to play not melodic at all..his riffs on the other hand soo fucking awesome. I love both bands and i would rather be kirk good at soloing than Dave.

I play guitar I like both bands Metallica and Megadeth, and I can play Holy wars, including the solos, however i can't play ride the lighting, fade to black , blackened, they're both amazing but i think kirk is a bit better than dave..

@9erMatthew ooo i didnt watched the time hehe well as a guitarist i know that dave is better but kirk is still one of my faovrite players and a huge influence for me, both are great influences

@bryanslash Frankly, I think the same thing you do. I do think that we as guys who like metal, should stick together. Now the comment I made to this video was well over a year ago. Even so, I still think the same thing about the video. While I totally love Metallica AND Kirk, I still think Dave is better. I STILL think ignorant Hammett fans would look at this and think Dave sucks. I happen to know however that there are Hammett fans out there who know Kirk's place on the technique food chain.

it´s stupid how people are still talnking about megadeth vs metallica im tired of reading comments of METALLICA SUCK or MEGADETH SUCKS both are greatest bands we should only listen and enjoy them you cant say that "fade to black" solo is bad or "the thing that should not be" solo is bad i love both bands and i think that we metalheads should stay togehter as brohters and not be fighting about which band is better
