I work at a cat only groomer/boarding and that’s exactly how we do it. Most of the time they’re great, and if they are to upset and giving them a break won’t help then we don’t force it.

👈🏻This is my ragdoll I adopted, when I got him his fur was matted & greasy & he was humping EVERYTHING. I got him neutered & took care of his floof & his original owner wanted him back after a couple of months when she saw how great he is now. I politely declined 😊

@@honeygfunkypish8404 unfortunately a lot of people get long haired cats shaved simply because they don’t want to deal with those breeds extra grooming needs 😕

Sometimes when they get older they have a hard time grooming themselves & will get matted if they’re not cut.

sometimes they need it for reasons like matting. my boy gets poop stuck in his butt hair and then proceeds to wipe his ass on the floor.

Suppose to start with the head. Fleas will run where there is least amount if product. I dont know if this is common knowledge or not. But it keeps fleas from running in the ears and eyes. Im sure she recovered. Its a common mistake. ❤

Don't use clippers so vlose to the privates. Or when there is feces present. If u nick the dog, there will be infection

I do that for my cat. I also put a tiny amount of coconut oil on the area. It helped show/reinforce to her that I am her person who wants her healthy & happy! Thanks for sharing 🎉

Whoever owns her sure doesn't take good care of her. To look so diety and mat5ed so much...this Poor Baby Shih-tzu! My Shih-tzu goes every 4 weeks like I go to Beautician and get bath, haircut, toenails cut and ears cleaned out. That poor sweet Shih-tzu!❤❤😊
