A few thoughts, it's "lightly" abandoned. Looks ransacked, maybe somewhat squatted in. No wanton vandalism apparent (no smashed windows, graffiti, punched walls, etc.). Not open to the elements or else paint would be peeling inside everywhere from water damage. This looks about 2-4 years vacant with aforementioned ransacking. Certainly not falling under its own weight at this point. Easy cleanup, haul out the trash and clean the hell out of it. Then think about what level of rehab you would want to do to freshen up the finishes. But honestly empty trash and deep clean and it's pretty much move in ready if you're not too picky. Issue though is where in the hell is it? Looks like middle of nowhere :/
@jentill10349 күн бұрын
@@dirtysnkrs The families in the area are trying to keep an eye on the place and force squatters out, so that is nice to know. Unfortunately there is a hole in the roof now, so the elements will start to do their damage. If someone started now, she could be saved.

@jentill1034 Yeah, it's beautiful. I love the river, but as a long-time ozark resident, they have taken away from the community to make a dime, not allowing people access to the spillway to fish and swim it's not fair to us that grew up playing and fishing in that spillway. Not only that, they overcharge on everything, so if you are rich yeah grate place to blow some cash. I'm not going to say you will like the food or that you won't get sick from eating there lol I won't go into specifics...but nobody in my family will eat there again until the new chef is gone

@@mightymouse7798 I hear you, it does stink that public access is gone. I love that they saved the mill, but you are spot on with taking a beautiful spot away from public hands. I can look at house and tell when it was built. I can look at siding and see when was redone. And I see other items in the house and know when it was remodel. The wood trim in the house could from early 1900s. The asbestos siding could be from 1910 to 1980s. The cast iron tube is from the late 1970s to mid 1980s, after that they started making them out of plastic or fiberglass. The two prong outlets faded away in the late 1960 when it stared to became code for all outlets to have a ground.

@@jentill1034 I had help learning what I know. I come from a family of contractors going back at least 4 generations. So I grew up leaning about how they built homes in the past and when some items came out and when they stopped using many items you found in homes.
