I watched Good burger too richly and I was all disappointed. They didn't bring Sinbad back to the teacher and they only him back as a voice.

The animation style was beautiful, the messages were poignant, and the emotions hit me way deeper than I anticipated.

It was such a good plot and in my opinion they could have done so much better this was absolutely crazy in the comics with The Button and everything it was really cool would have loved to see a lot more than what we got in the movie i havent seen the other two yet but im going in with low expectations this time. I don’t remember Paradox saying the main timeline. It just that the timeline’s going to die and he rather prune it then babysit the death of the Timeline.

A knit pick. I have with the movie. Is the scene where. Mike finds out the news about the captain on his phone. And in the trailer. They show them all together as a family at marcus house, and it comes on the news. That would of made the scene hit harder for me. I like the new directors, but i need michael bay back. I know we won't but still.

I am not the biggest Ghostbusters fan but I enjoyed the movie well enough, even if it was a bit messy. The inclusion of the OG cast mixed with the new cast worked well and there was enough horror elements and comedic jokes that worked for me to walk out having had a good time.

Thank you for this review! I was planning to watch it after the first trailer and didn’t watch the second trailer until i heard all the discourse. I was hoping that it was a black Harry Potter/percy Jackson vibe and i assumed wrong. The love story seems unnecessary…i wish they would’ve focused more on the magic and dove deeper into the racism so that the concept of the society doesn’t look prejudice towards white people and mediocre to black people. It seems it was a good concept but wrong execution.

I agree with your proposals, especially the voice acting one. And I also think that categories such as these should be added (or ar least considered) to not just the Oscars, but to the Saturns, BAFTAs, Golden Globes, etcetera, as well.

Looking at all these proposals, it reminds me of the Emmys. Getting an Emmy is a big deal, but it's arguably easier due to the cheer amount of categories recognized. It's clear the Academy has few categories to maintain its prestige above all the other industry awards. At this point, the Academy is more likely to merge categories rather than to add a slew of new ones. If it wasn't for the huge Writers Guild, there would probably be one Screenplay category. However, I do agree that there are disciplines that do need recognition, such as Choreography and Stunt Coordinator. Voice-Over Performance sounds easy enough, but I wonder if awarding Performance Capture opens a discussion of who is most responsible for the success of the finished product, the voice actor or the animators?

You're mostly right about the movie, but for all of the wrong reasons. The Christian message is what drags everything else down. You can't successfully satirize religion while trying to land an earnest religious message. The scene where he calls out how ridiculous the virgin birth narrative is, is the best thing in the movie. It's what the whole movie should have been, except then it wouldn't have appealed to the typical middle brow "Jesus is the answer" philosophy Black people love. The truth is that our salvation does not lie in the religion of our oppressors, and 'The Book of Clarence' was only brave enough to flirt with that idea in an attempt to earn some street cred as an actually interesting film. But instead it ultimately did the safe thing and fed Black people the same religious pablum that has failed them for the last several hundred years.

You are missing points. This is not meant to be any type of traditional Christian story. It's meant to take from it what YOU pull. Levels of relationships, personal struggles, knowledge and beliefs. The levels continue. The sound track is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 fire!

If Noriko hadn't survived, I would have enjoyed my time watching it but then never see it again. As it is, I've seen it three times with five different people. Her survival, though illogical, was the key to the movie's emotional impact and success driven by people wanting to watch it again and get others to watch it to.

In my opinion......1 of the reasons that they are resurrecting this film to shock & awe a brand new generation in 2023 is so that blk wmn like Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Vivica Fox, and a dozen more who have decided to choose 💵 & fame over marriage can continue to have this Monsterous 👹Mister character & this Wimpy Harpo character to blame for a work of fiction that was created about a time period that supposedly happened before they were even born 🤦🏾‍♂️

I watched it a few days ago and had 1 major problem with the new film.......It went from Mister being evil in 1985 and ripping Celie & Nettie apart to literally being the devil by in 2023 and attempting to grape his 13 year old sister-in-law in her sleep & then shooting at her after throwing her out at night in the midst of a rain storm.
