As for the less than courteous ejection from the hospital, that’s just the way that cookie crumbles (especially with Kaiser). Consent is an important concept, but it doesn’t apply in many of the situations I hear Zillennials complain about. If you have a procedure that is considered to be an “outpatient procedure”, that is something agreed upon by hospitals, doctors, & insurance companies (sadly). That means, once you have been given _X_ amount of time to recover, and you do so without complications, then it’s time to *GTFO*. That’s why you have to have somebody (even crappy BF) to take you home. Unless you’re loaded & doing self pay and/or have some insane “concierge” insurance, then you can stay for longer (assuming the hospital has available beds & we’re not in the middle of a pandemic of course) _heh_. It really sucks you were treated so dispassionately throughout this. I really hope you have found better partners *and* providers who can treat you how you deserve to be treated.
