It's been a really good stump grinder up until about a year ago. I am having to order a brand new motor for it right now. I would buy another one if I found one with low hours on it. Thanks for watching!

Great instructional. I'm trying to figure out how to make a new hydraulic line for my Kubota excavator. At the end of the 1/2 pipes are braze on fittings that accept 1/2 BSPP male thread. I can't figure out where to find these fittings. Can you offer a clue?

Hey Chris, I’m currently trying to get started in the grinding business and Iv watched a lot of your videos and they have really helped. I’m trying to stay out of debt but I’m having a hard time finding an affordable machine, I’m down in cullman Alabama and I can’t find anywhere around that sells used equipment. do you have a suggestions? Am I looking in the right places? Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Those root balls never go back into the ground exactly where they were originally. You generally have to grind roots extending out all the way to the perimeter of the root ball.

motor not to bad on them. Just lining up the pump is the hardest part when putting it back in. definitely smarter replacing motor than buying another machine or rebuild , my personal opinion.

The biggest reason is if you spent even $30k to rebuild this grinder from top to bottom you can’t touch a grinder brand new equivalent to that one for under $60k

Good idea on the rebuild route. Even your automobile, if it been good andeliable it's still cheaper to rebuild vs. new. And it's paid for.

Not knocking the RG50 at all. Its a decent unit for sure, but i belive if i had one,the first thing i would probably do is remove that useless lexan. I dont know exactly how long they stay translucent, but everyone of them ive seen are yellowed so bad . I would replace it with a small hole sheet of expanded metal. That would keep out bigger chunks of stump, rock ect ect from hitting you while allowing you to still see thru it. One's PPE can stop the smaller debris. It would be better than having to look around as most have to do. Love your videos

This is the smartest way to get rid of a tree stump. I am a great believer in using a professional for chores that can be dangerous or time consuming. A pro like this has the equipment and the experience to do a quick and 100% effective stump removal. Burning a stump is so "neanderthal" 👈🏾
