Yeah, I think every record could’ve benefited from Rex being much louder in the mix, especially Vulgar. FBD probably had the best mix IMO when he started using Spectors full time

@@kipw_901 Agreed. I’m a guitar player and your channel happened to come through my feed. Enjoying a lot of your videos especially the Pantera songs. I also happened to see that you played a Queensryche song I don’t believe in love. Love that song. It’s the first song I ever heard from them and is what turned me on to them. That killer bass line from Eddie Jackson. He’s a bass ass bass player as well. Any chance you’ll be doing any more tunes from them? They have such good music. Thanks for playing my 2 favorite bands! @@kipw_901 From the Operation Mindcrime album, I would say Operation Mindcrime, Speak, and The Needle Lies. If you are looking for newer songs from them I would say Eye9 which the bassist wrote. My favorite song off their most recent album Digital Noise Alliance (DNA). It’s called Nocturnal Light. It is a bad ass song. I would be eternally grateful if you did this one. Nobody has done it, so you would be the first! lol. It’s such a good tune! Thank you! If you listen to it, let me know what you think of it.

You got most of the notes right, but you're missing a lot of the details that make Ellefson's basslines stand out. For example you're not doing any palm muting (which Ellefson does A LOT, especially on the open E string), some notes that are supposed to be staccato are played tenuto, and you're doing legato slides where Ellefson actually picks every single note (during Mustaine's solo - and yes, the rhythm guitars play legato slides there, but the bass doesn't).

@@kipw_901Thanks. I really like the grit and the growl. The NS 2 Basses are awesome. I've got the cheaper Korean NS Pulse 4. I replaced the graphit nut and the tone pump preamp by a brass nut and the Darkglass Tone Capsule.

@@alexorozco2526 I bought it used in mint condition. It’s lighter, has a thinner neck profile, and feels amazing. The tone of the ns2 cuts through better imo. The euro is a beast though, and sounds really amazing when tuned down

@kipw_901 I live about 2 hours from New York. I thought it would be cool to drive down and get one factory fresh. But apparently a bass made on the other side of the planet is cheaper than one I can pick up from the maker. Still, the euro is no slouch
