@@sheevpalpatine8243 I’ve seen many pay to win games… I don’t think this is the pay to win that people say it is. The dominant fighters for most of this games life were the sub $100 fighters. Only very recently did the Hornet surpass the supremacy of light fighters. The F8 was really only a major threat to people that don’t PVP, and can only dominate in a team setting assuming all players are competent dogfighters. In the current patch it’s very difficult to keep up with other fighters that can maneuver. Really it’s an example of not pay to win, especially now that it’s basically only feasible if your team can cover you and buy enough time for its lack of maneuverability thanks to the nerfs.

@@sheevpalpatine8243For the most part I agree and would 100% would prefer it to be like other games but it really isn’t the requirement that people say it is. I have friends that have spent 3x what I have spent in SC on other monetized games and it only benefits them. Where as my purchase’s benefits all of the friends that join me when the only amount they’ve spent is the minimum price of entry and it has been this way since we started playing. Even without that, you can earn almost everything in game without additional purchases unlike some other games. And in those you’re forced to do most if not all of the work by yourself. That’s just the reality of it. Like if the game wiped everything including my paid items I’d be able to prove everything I said and then some.

I'm not a fan of the game's ranking system. The S ranking is not only easy to achieve, but it also fails to reflect a team's performance in CQB. It feels like a participation trophy since the critical need for quick target discrimination and accurate shot placement in the kill zone is completely disregarded. TL;DR: S-Rank requirements are not only easy but also pointless.

If you're ever on the opposite side while I'm role playing op-for in a shoot house, all I need to do is flank you in an LDA (hallways) or stairways as you're deliberating and you are *fucked*. What you should have taken away from 3:52 is that 3 more people with guns are better than one, instead you are advocating for a 1v1 and a shoot through on dry walls while everyone else gets shot once the shooting starts. Having ran through shoot-houses with Tier One dudes and the local SWAT dudes in the state I was visiting at the time, it became obvious why people that have been in enough gun fights and train CQB regularly and not once a month choose 'dynamic'. @@yohanzeta Yes, that’s what I’ve seen. Wasn’t impressed with the 12 size 3 missles it originally came with. Plus server performance didn’t do the consistency of hitting your target any favors. Now with 24 size 3s, much improved performance, and the need to scratch the itch on a new ship, this was the perfect inspiration.

The game is very good, but it would be nice if enemies could also set traps on doors and walls, and get out of windows. The fact that enemies cannot get out of the windows allows us to play without paying much attention to the glass areas, but in real life, enemies can come out from anywhere. The fact that they do not put traps on doors and walls also causes us to enter rooms carelessly, but in real life, anywhere can be trapped.

I think that would actually gamify things. IRL is not like that at all with a few exceptions. Some exceptions more notable than others but average that's not the case. Raids are intelligence driven ambushes on fixed positions with the area cordoned off and the adversary fixed into that position and placed under control through the use of support elements pull security and observation to cover enemy ingress and egress points. If there are traps, these days we'd know the likelihood ahead of time and if it were such a big problem, we'd solve it through other ways than CQB unless it is absolutely necessary to go in. The fact that we aren't assaulting the structure with a 3:1 ratio is already a tactical mistake in itself but for the sake of "video game challenge" we are forced to put ourselves in less favorable circumstances then fight our way out of it. You're right about enemies not jumping out of windows, but for me that wouldn't change the game much. Or rather, my TTPs and SOPs would not change much and they will all just die the same way. Traps would only slow momentum and at most would only slow the tempo of the raid. When I was playing games like Ready Or Not, I would still clear most maps solo in less than 5 minutes (or 10 minutes) with a very rapid technique for checking traps. I can see how it can add an element of realism in some operations but it's would definitely be a more artificial experience if it happened often.

@@yohanzetaYes, I think the changes I said for this game are a bit unnecessary, or rather, even if they are not unnecessary, they do not change the game much. In addition, since we are already dealing with a lot of problems on large maps, I think it will be even more challenging with these updates and will lead to the loss of players

@@kozmix17 I do recognize that it is a game and I've given how I would make it more challenging and at the same time keep it fairly realistic if I were involved with it's development. Couple features I'd add is the ability for both sides to shoot through walls and for the AI to throw grenades in hallways to punish players that linger in linear danger areas too often. I would also add terrain features on the floor that would slow movement for any unit crossing it. Now this might be a more complex feature but I'd also have the enemy move furniture real time to create obstacles for the assault element once they are compromised.

I Play on a Controller too. Use the scuf envision pro (has also 4 Paddles and some extra Buttons). With my Config i got all the Buttons i Need. How did u configured the axes? I use Left Stick for strafing forward/backward/left/right, Right Stick for pitch/yaw and modifier „hold“ + Right Stick for Roll and 2 paddles for strafe up/down

It took some figuring out but what has worked well for me is as follows: Left Stick vertical axis strafes forward and back, and the x-axis rolls the craft. Right stick handles pitch and yaw. The top two Paddles handles in back does horizontal strafing, and the bigger bottom paddles is for vertical strafing. No modifiers are used on for my setup on flights controls.

I use my right pedal on the Xbox Elite Controller. I tap it at just the right tempo that it looks like one smooth motion. When I first switch to this control scheme I practiced a lot free flying around the racing mode in Arena Commander.

Its a little weird but im used to it. I dont use any third party programs. Right trigger is fire everything, left is thrust. Left bumper is modifier and right is speed break. Modified left trigger with the bumper is my countermeasures. Left joystick Y axis is forward/back, X axis is roll. Right stick is pitch and yaw. L3 is cruise control and R3 is targeting. D pad is my power power settings, modified right is Quantum and modified Left is missile. Because im using base settings instead of a third party my A-Y buttons are mirrors of the paddles. I just map those with lift/descend and strafing based on what’s comfortable. I use the keyboard for everything else. It’s not the most optimal setup but its a stopgap for when I get dual sticks and pedals with a better gaming setup.

Yes if you apply yourself. It may be a simulator but it’s actually challenging. Shooters that aren’t remotely capable of performing in real life shouldn’t expect to do significantly better in VR. If anything it does a very good job at showing your shortcomings on aspects not related to recoil management and reloads at least on the marksmanship side of things. I’m specifically working on Vision focused shooting (or target focus depending on who you ask) and smoother transitions without moving past my intended point of impact. You can technically do these with dryfire but things like swingers and the ability to easily do a variety of courses without needed to set it up is very much value added. It’s exposed some of the weaknesses that I was not aware of during my dry fire and live fire sessions such as how much time I’ve been lingering on each target due to over confirmation. I don’t get to shoot anywhere near as much as I used to so this has been a tremendous help in supplementing a lot of that range time. Especially when the most I can do is 100-200 rounds per session every few months as compared to the thousand per month back then. Even if I did, just the fact that there’s variety of stages that I don’t get to shoot often really takes the cake for me. Where it’s been the most helpful for me is training at uncomfortably faster speeds than Im used to and dialing it in.

@yohanzeta Thanks for the very considered reply mate. It's covers some great aspects that I thought may be helpful. I live in Aus where most ranges are static and don't allow to move from your bay unless you are doing an IPSC match. This created issues where I can't practice poppers, swingers or even transitions as much as I would like or even train them in my own time at all outside a match. Ammo prices are also through the roof - close to AUD 30- 40 per box of 50 9mm which is exorbitantly expensive. I am considering buying this as it will help me train transitions and poppers and swingers at my own time with the live range practice to confirm and dry fire to continue refining fundamentals. Your comment helps tremendously. One other query do you run this on a Quest 2 or 3 and does it matter. I'll be picking up a Quest solely for this as I think the training addition will help. Thanks again

@@mps9649 It works on both. I have an 'inbetween' (Quest Pro) but its designed to work with either version. Just have to go to the settings to select which one. I think you will find this to be a very helpful training aid.
