Hank Mobley right on time with blinding executions on the tenor sax, great performance by all performers.

I found this in the budget bin in 1974 for $2.99 It was my first jazz record. I fell in love with Monk after hearing this sometimes overlooked masterpiece. There are some new compositions on this gem. Still one of my all time favorite jazz records. What a quartet!

Love this kind of Buddy Rich solo compared to his technical pyrotechnics ones. His solos are funky when he uses brushes!

Sounds great! What did you use to record it?🙏
@MegaAlexandroidVinyl4 ай бұрын
I use a pretty standard AT140xp record player through a Kenwood receiver into and old school M-Box audio converter into the PC. I use the Reason DAW to do the actual recording. I try to clean the vinyl itself instead of using software to clean up the sound. Hope that helps!
