How do you have a perfectly bred and ivd+evd team for your first ever event? Plus you would need black, white, and emerald or ruby, and ideally leaf green as well. And team building can take countless hours, plus his shit was shiny? Idk smells like pkhex or pokegening to me, however if everyone else is doing it I guess it's fine.

Wolfey truly had the shonen protag experience, a new unheard of guy steamrolls over the competition and keeps only to be stopped by the literal Best of the best.

I found this video just now and was surprised how this has never showed up on my feed before. I thought the video was gonna be about how he 'cheated' bla bla bla but surprisingly it's not! Great video man. Also I'm surprised by the amount of hate comments💀 For all the people saying he hacked, you would be right, wolfe himself said it on a post on dot esport. Here's a small part on what he said: It is hacking, it is against the rules, but it is not cheating. It does not give you an unfair advantage.” And for everyone yapping about how I'm supporting a cheater how about you go do a 5m research on pokemon's TPCi. As long a pokemon doesn't have anything straight up illegal like pikachu having origin pulse it is permitted regardless of their origin. And to really finish it off, for anyone talking about how he gets more time to prep or smth, anyone can just use pokemon showdown before even getting the pokemon in the game so yeah. Ignoring my yapping once again, great video man!

I was 100% sure that every single competitive Pokemon player would be morbidly obese and have Cheeto dust caked into their fingernails. I was wrong though.

This is perhaps a nitpick I know but the title of the video bothers me. I came to see how Wolfey changed Pokemon. Expecting maybe to see a methodology or strategy he pioneered that took over or how his youtube success perhaps prompted others to follow or... What I got was the story of Wolfey. Which while well told spends no time on how Wolfey impacted the Pokemon scene. Which spends no time on how he changed Pokemon.

2024 worlds may not have gone his way but that 16-0 on day 1 to me is legendary status. 3 regional wins in 2024 is wild too. I hold alot of respect for him due to his mindset, but hes also the one that got me and many others to try out VGC and team building, ev training etc.

I have recently found wolfey and have grown to love watching his videos, they are always so entertaining and enjoyable. This is coming from someone who isn't really that much into pokemon just knows the basics at most and have never considered competitive pokemone before. He just touchs peoples hearts and reels people in no matter if they are die-hard pokemon fans or just people who have heard of the name before.

There's only one thing missing, understandably so since it's about Wolfey: - Wolfey triggered an interest to pokemon tech & meta through the competitive lense. - Jaiden and pChal an interest to pokemon tech & meta through the nuzlock lense. It was really at the junction of both the casual and the competitive sphere that enable those to meet. The wholesome part is that everybody wins: Viewers, players, modders, youtubers, youtubists, VGC, casual, youtube & pokemon.
