Nice info! I’m in the middle of testing. Shooting 300 subs 220 grain suppressed 7.5 in Faxon 1/5T barrel. It cycles and feeds but with quick trigger pulls it doesn’t get enough gas to lock the bolt back. I have to the lightest buffer maxim defense makes and spring since it’s proprietary to the cqb stock. I realigned the gas block and it cycled better but I think I will try a new gas block and tube as the gas block seems to be out of spec like you said bc when I checked I am hitting some of the gas tube when I check with a drill bit.

The second rifle is a CVA with a Bergara barrel. CVA is very accommodating, but they replace it with the same stocks. They send new stocks with dura coat. It's a terrible product. I had browning replace a shotgun stock with that coating with a stock that doesn't have that product on the gun. BPI outdoors / CVA doesn't have options without that for the Apex. Frustrating!

Ruger says dry-firing the company’s 10/22 rifle will not damage it. Without the last round bolt hold-open device you will inevitably dry fire on an empty chamber once you run out of ammo.

Thx for the disassembly tip. I will make me a clip like that. I have six 10mms including one of these and handload for them. 10mm factory ammo leaves much to be desired, so the recoil of factory 10mm is often deceptively weak.

I had a similar issue, only it was the screw holding down the trigger guard causing the problem. The head was too big, blocking the thing from going back all the way.

Really...I have also used a wooden dowel as mentioned , dropped a few drops of motor oil and tapped it rearward . Worked like a charm. I would never use a drill, one bad angle and you can ruin a firearm.

I ordered a nomad and when it came in, it was so tight it was super hard to close and the trigger pull was so heavy I could not fire it. I had to pull it apart and use 600 grit to reduce the width of the ejector to allow it to close. I turned out the hammer spring screw till I was able to cock and fire it. It was not fit hardly at all at the factory. I can't believe it made it out the door. . Funny thing is the trigger guard problem operated fine.

I am having a problem with the safety not engaging and the trigger not returning but when I removed the slide that spring is still in place so I'm not sure if that's the culprit I was shooting today and the trigger didn't return after cycling

HELP WANTED. My A5 16ga will not extract modern plastic star-crimped shells. They open up too long to get out of the port. Has anyone sourced paper roll-crimped shells or figured out a way to trim the plastic shells and reload? Thanks for any advice.

You made me so happy to see a professional struggle getting that sear block assembly in place. It drove me crazy for about 2 hours. Great video. How about showing us how to reassemble the magazine disconnect lever with the torsion spring. I could not get that done so no more magazine safety for me😮

Oddly enough what fixed my issues with this was to put in larue tactical power extractor, and change out buffer to an h1 and change the buffer spring back down to a milspec carbine, and voila. This is 556/223 not 300 BO but had the exact same issues u had here. The thought did cross my mind a few times of drilling out gas port bigger and just as I was about to do that everything started cycling
