Wouldn't that damage the friction ring putting the beveled edge right against the spring?

I have a feeling the drillbit is what damaged the barrel, when it poked through the other side of the bullet.

Who spends money taking a bryco to a gunsmith? You might as well throw it in the trash and get another one. Or better yet, a Canik.

Pocket carry is even worse than on the belt, my pocket gun needs done once a week minimum sometimes twice and thats on top of nightly dust offs.

Probably the best and most informative videos I have seen for this model.Thank you for the well explained takedown I've had this model for 35 yrs.. love it and your right ,it is not really a range gun more like everyday PP. Mine needs a new block and what I've discovered that there are TYPE I And TYPE II blocks. I would like to think it is a well built quality firearm made in USA, but the mag is tight and doesn't just slide out, how would one address this problem? You mentioned .380 and 9mm. Same projectile but different length correct? Would a 9mm semi take the .380 round, but .380 gun won't accept the 9mm round due to length of round since the only difference is cartridge length.. you're opinions on these issues is respected and welcome Thanks again

Then watch something else or there is a control to speed up videos Einstein. Lol clown world we live in folks you can't make this stuff up. Go clean your poop fella.
@JamesLeigh-jl9ivАй бұрын
No that's not how you do it. Spray tri-flow Teflon spray up the barrel and then use an alluminiuim or brass drift to bump the projectile back out down the bore.
@maverickgunworks8777Ай бұрын
You said projectile. See that's not how you do it. You didn't listen. Projectiles would be correct, but you would have had to listen and understand how projectiles work when huge amounts of pressure are applied because one is fired at great speed into the other in a closed cylinder. But you and the other geniuses know everything lol. Surprised you didn't say load a blank and shoot it out lol. Thanks to people like you that can fix your own stuff is why we have so many come in with more expensive repairs.

Soak the bullet with penetrating oil, let it sit a bit, get a dowel or brass rod, hit it out muzzle to breach
@maverickgunworks87772 ай бұрын
"the" sir please listen. It was not just one bullet in the firearm. Another round was shot into "the" other round. Soaking doesn't remove that effect. To be fair you are not the only one that did not listen and thinks it is just one bullet in the barrel. At the very least you did not suggest we "shoot it out" like other KZbin comment gunsmiths have done. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment though. The title even says removing bulletS stuck...
@danielfilippini56062 ай бұрын
@maverickgunworks8777 to be fair I did listen. I'm 71, been working on guns for 50yrs. All gunsmith have their own ideas of handling problems. You didn't mention if the bullets were lead or jacketed. On offense was meant. If you don't want different opinions turn of the comments

I chose the 642PC, with no lock. I considered the UC which had just been offered since "Shot Show 24 ". I weighted the $150 up charge of the UC ( G10 grips and combat sights) I decided since I pocket carry, and the gun is up close defense, the PC was a better option. I'm not sorry I went that way .

Had hiccups with mine at first. Didn't like "pretty darn old" steel mags. Didn't lock in well. Tried some polymer mags the Mrs got me for my birthday and it runs like a dream. Ive done nothing to this rifle cept shoot it and clean it. It works!😊

I got mine in 2019. I changed the furniture to BCM that fits me a little better. The Magpul furniture is great but I like the BCM a little better. It looks cool also. I changed Rugers cheap, barely staked, un- shrouded, semi auto nitrided bcg for a FA phosphate Microbest. I also changed Rugers obnoxious muzzle brake for a Surefire 3 prong flash hider. I put Magpul MBUS Pro BUIS on it and a Radian Raptor charging handle on it. I finished it off with a SIG Tango MSR 1-8 LPVO. I initially had to send it back to Ruger because the bcg was bad. Rugers customer service was great and I havent had any problems since then. I think its a great entry level rifle with that nice CHF barrel.
