Your sempervivum collection looks nice! You should specialize on these. They do very well with your climate. You can leave them out in your greenhouse even in winter time.

I wonder if akadama and lava rock mixed together will work for aroids. Anybody know? I have a greenhouse. And my aroids are content in their peat/perlite soil, but I have a heavy watering hand. Thank you,

Sempervivums are so fun and can be had cheap too. I especially like the "roller" types of Jovibarba ones. Great for making community pots like the one you made with Ziggy's. Always like your videos Cactimania keep em coming <3 Happy holidays as well.

A beautiful selection of Sempervivum plants, Daz! I have quite a selection of these too, all growing outside in the garden, as most of them are pretty winter hardy when grown in very gritty substrate and shallow, rocky beds with protection from excessive rain in the winter. Those are some really nice sempervivumswe have a couple of varieties outside. Yes, they will stand wet and very cold temperatures. Ours have withstood - 10° below zero! Great succulents for outdoors!! Sorry I didn't pick up on your video right away. It's been a real hard time here. My mother suffered a heart attack last Saturday and I've just not been into thinking about anything else 😢. Had two stints put in. Doing better but not out of the woods yet. We are spending Christmas at the hospital for a bit with her. We are so thankful for the most wonderful gift of all , her life !!! Hope you and Edith are well. I never thought Semps had tons of varieties! 😮 They all look gorgeous, Sweetheart. They love cooler temps. They have tons of pups! My fave is the Big Sam, Oddity, and Gold Nugget. 💚🌺🌸🌼❤️

That Big Sam has done well Daz, and the Calcareum 🙂 I've got nothing but Semperviums on the shop trolley at the moment but haven't sold a single one, people are keeping their hands in their pockets at the moment. You should put them outsides, don't worry, they love bad weather as long as the soil is well drained. I'm from the very centre of Italy, Appennine region at 500m asl. The weather is quite awful here, they don't see to much sunshine, this morning was snowing and at night is freezing hard. My gold nugget is now light green in the very centre and al the rest a deep terracotta colour, during summertime is getting all deep yellow with pink tips. We have three native species here, S. tectorum, riccii and arachnoideum plus all the natural hybrids of the three species. S. tectorum grows at lower altitudes whilst arachnoideum and riccii from 1600m up to nearly 3000m. The wild ones right now are under a minimum of 30cm of snow. Have a nice Xmas🎉 and a prosperous new year with plenty of growth.
