Doc Nichols is the reason I stayed at Alma. The chorale was a safe place I needed when I didn’t know I needed it.

1-. Research as much info as you can, about mostly anything, not just the topic in general. Of course, you have to investigate the reasons, characteristics and effects on your topic, but also research on how it affects your country and others in the committee, what your country has done and if they have been involved into any similar situation, their opinion about it, as well as what can you provide and help with. Also research about other countries in your committee, your relationship with them, how it affects them and what they have done. And go through your committee's handbook and research about your committee. 2-. Learn all the protocol as well as you can, that is going to be super helpful for you. Go through banned words, motions, points, etc. And don't forget to never use personal pronouns! (instead, "this delegation..." "the delegation of..." as well as saying your country, for example "Japan considers that...") 3-. With the info researched about other countries, establish alliances or make use of already existing ones. 4-. Don't be afraid to make proposals, ask questions and declare statements. Contribute as much as you can so you can make a great resolution paper with all your committee. 5-. Enjoy it. It is truly an amazing experience, you'll learn a lot and get a bunch of abilities. Maybe you'll even make friends. Trust me, it's lots of fun. Good luck, delegate! <3
