sir i think you have confused contraposition and contradiction proofs. In contraposition rule if the contrapositive of the og dtatement is true then the statement is also true as the statement and its contrapositive are equivalent which we have studied in logics and contradiction rule says that if your contradicted statement is false then the og dtatement is true and vice versa so please confirm.
