Patty thought the relationship was more serious than it was, and she was getting to the point where she expected him to end things with his wife…maybe even was threatening to expose the relationship. Bob knew he got in way too deep and felt he had to get rid of her.

I don't believe Darlie was going to commit suicide in spite of her supposed suicide note from May. She just wanted Darrins attention and was trying to manipulate to do what she wanted him to do.
