Could you show a video on how you set up to your deck I don't think I'm doing it right I have to turn the wood always
@ch1llboy6 ай бұрын
Thought about doing that years ago. Aim down the deck a couple track lengths. Never let the wood force you back. Put it somewhere in front. When you move back you put down a few square to your tracks and build up from them. In the worst cases you gotta hop out front and move enough to get a fresh start. Use the long butts backwards in the gaps when you build up the new layer

How many loads a day can you process
@ch1llboy Жыл бұрын
Depends on the wood, the machine, the setup, the cutting list, my mood. I'm not the best producer. Met a healthy dozen or so guys personally over my 12 years who've had the chance to achieve some incredible numbers that I haven't. In most situations my time in the seat is over 40meters per hour. I've hit 90 a bunch of times. It goes down to 20 as well. Do the best with what comes your way.
@wolfgangkohler2508 Жыл бұрын
Wow. Nice job. Good operator.Question: I'm fairly new to running a processor. Just wondering if there is a setting for closing your wheels when picking up a new stem? Or is it something you do manually ? I see guys do it a lot. Obviously makes it easier
@ch1llboy Жыл бұрын
Thanks! When open the wheel sticks out and can interfere with getting in close, when pulling out of a deck.When you pick up the stem before opening the drive arms the stem can get stuck on either side and prevent them from opening. Halfway avoids both of those. If you can't feather the drive arms part way, then your coil is starting to go. swapping will sometimes confirm this, but sometimes the other proportional coil is going as well. One of the difficult things to get them to fix, even though it happens regularly.You are lucky to be working right now, it is difficult to find a seat.

Are you constantly keeping pressure on your knives when running the logs through or does it automatically keep pressure
@ch1llboy3 жыл бұрын
It automatically keeps pressure as it is fed through or cut. The amount of pressure is determined by the software based on input of the diameter sensor. The knives also open slightly every so many MS to prevent the log from being squeezed too tight & stalling
@GreatLakesLogger3 жыл бұрын
@@ch1llboy basically a knife vibration setting? That what Ponsse calls it in their software anyway. You can set a vibration frequency and a diameter cuttoff
