we have those in Australia, super cool little things but we don't have any divider walls on our ambulances for some odd reason

I would like to see more details on your low top. It basically looks like an Australian ambulance.

Rode in one of these last week. Took a nap in my car and some lady called 911 saying I “looked dead”. EMT’s said my blood sugar was low and heart was “racing” (because I hadn’t eaten breakfast yet and some stranger opened my car door and immediately interrogated me on subjects unrelated to my health) So I was then abducted to the local hospital. IE=Karen calls 911-governments shows up and has to cover their ass.

I like the cabinetry, a bit interesting that the control panel is on the “bench” side. All of our sprinters are setup with the control panel at airway off the action shelf. We also use the 9’6 sprinters, so full top. I do like the limited cabinetry though. I feel a lot of ambulances lose patient compartment space due to, too much cabinetry.

Duplication of NIPB and pulse ox on monitor? So not sure why that is? I would prefer bleeding control in first due bag
@lolokbr
@lolokbr 4 жыл бұрын
I can't speak to their situation, but our bag is set up the same way for a few reasons. First, our regional protocols dictate manual BP be taken on all trauma patients, so our bag contains a manual cuff for that reason. Second, at my service, only ALS trucks take the monitor in on every call. Some of our BLS crews always take it in, but they're not required to unless it's an unknown problem, or specifically a cardiac problem. Plus, a pulse ox is so small and light, you aren't losing out on any bleeding control supplies by having it in your bag, even if it's redundant.

Whatfor a headset to communicate with the driver? You can simply put a two-way intercom in the back, with a micro placed somewhere in the wall, and simply communicate via the press of a button Do you always run with a crew of 3 or with a crew of 2? Concerning the emergency lights: IMO it's still an overkill, well I'm simply used to have less lights even though the speeds driven on our roads is much higher. We used to have 6 emergency lights on our full-size box ambulances, the latest one had 8 lights, and now the brandnew one has a total of 10 lights and that's more than sufficient for us. The BLS Ambulance based on a relatively new Transit is equipped with 5 lights only Btw is this an ALS or BLS Ambulance for you? It seems to have such a small amount of equipment on board ...

Hello, We have had no big issues on rough and dirt roads. Our county is 1,500 square miles so we have plenty of bad roads.

Hi Todd, We do not carry long spine boards. We do carry a soft-cot for movement on-scene of we need it, but no hard backboards.

Nice video once again :) I do like the uniforms you have, very interesting colors, design and they seem very functional! :) I do wonder why you went for the low top Sprinter and Transits? Was there any reason for that?

I'd be interested to know which ambulances you guys prefer, if it's the Sprinter or the Transit?
@pascaljh
@pascaljh Жыл бұрын
If I had my choice I prefer the Sprinter. I can use the Transit and have done so. The newer Transits that are a wee bit bigger are better than the first ones that were like trying to practice in a broom closet.

You guys did a great job there! Also love the Whelen lighting and products you put on there! :) The inside is extremely interesting designed. You had some great thoughts and ideas there. The storage compartment behind the right door in the rear surprised me - did not expect to see that right there. It's definitely something unusual. Moving the stretcher more to the left is another great idea to get more room. 5:28 "I'm not a magician" lol 18:40 love the flash pattern, nicely synchronized! Great choice on the lights, especially on the M9-V with the 180° warning and integrated scene lighting on the side. I'd love to see that unit in the dark with its lights on :) At 18:54 you mentioned the steady burn lighting. Another way for the public to easier determine if you're on scene or if you're responding is: 1) using white lights = flashing white could mean 'vehicle is in motion'. Flashing white lights are the brightest light color you can have. They traditionally perfectly fit into the front as they also indicate the front of vehicles. 2) using a fast flash pattern for responses and a slower pattern for scene lighting. In that case your current flash patterns could be the scene lighting. Whelen offers a lot of different flash pattern for these lights. There should be a good choice of Double or Comet (triple) flash patterns. From my experience those are more attention grabbing which makes them especially handy for responses. Whelen also has newer and better lights than those which you used as steady burn lights and for the grill and side lighting (at 18:28). For the next unit I would recommend 2 Whelen M7 for the front. They light intensity is insane. Maybe wig-wags as well (classic but extremely bright). Probably M7 or ION at the sides of the front. [edit: I've just seen you have a Sprinter as well which already has ION's on the side.] Great tour, love the video :) Would love to see your rigs in person but I'm kinda far away since I'm living in Germany. Keep up the great work :)
