No offense, great class but this video is bad. He said "looks good" an awful lot, when the school told us to NEVER say that. He skipped a lot. Good info but this video is old and needs a serious update. For anyone in CDL school now, I recommend you all pay attention when the pre-trip is being done every morning. Follow along with your own check list. Don't rely on this video, your instructor will teach you the correct way.

If I have room infront, I pull forward as if I were going into next lane, but then steer into incoming-traffic-most lane. Reference point to turn into lane is roughly same as in car - start of lane under your mirror. So lane has two lines. You pick closest and draw a line from it. If it is under mirror, then you will get there. Disclaimer: I'm not an instructor.

Great video but what about if there is cars where he is gonna turn...some may be on the on the lane to turn left and his light is green so somehow he is still forced to turn right regardless

Making a right-hand turn You have to Enter the left hand turn out lane with no cars are present... Tractor trailer takes two lanes of traffic to make a turn... If not your trailer will go up over the curb taking out a telephone pole!

The figure 8 knots are not properly dressed, and you didn't do a 5:1 system, you made a 4:1 with a redirect, you have to turn the system upside down for it to be a 5:1 system

my school has an international. even though it’s very well maintained and looked after, the clutch always overheats and shuts down. The steering & braking is awful. company is phasing out all internationals in place of freightliners.

The problem with all these demonstration videos is that they never show it in a tight condensed areas such as cities it's always in a big open intersection with barely any cars

Yup. I failed my cld driving test because they made me drive in super tight congested areas. The examiner made me do a right turn in a small street and there where cars on the opposite side so when I did the maneuver i barely missed the car in the opposite lane, but curved the rear wheel and failed. Smh these videos are always the easiest way to turn
