Judging by the pictures in the video, this is a class 702 task force supply ship(at 0:47). The class 702 task force supply ships (EGV), also known as the Berlin class, are supply ships of the German Navy that provide logistical and medical support for mixed task forces. They are the largest ships in the German Navy. The Frankfurt am Main is an EGV 702, a task force supply ship of the German Navy. It is the second unit of this class. It is named after the Hessian city of Frankfurt am Main.

Too bad she could not be saved. USN did sea trials on her. Quite a remarkable ship.

Battleship Cove seemingly didnt even try to save her. There wasnt even an attempt to fundraise. They could've done better than quietly selling her.

@serganta88616 ай бұрын
This is the best the german navy has to offer. But at least we have more mining ships than all other ship classes combined so if any landing craft comes close to our coast during war it will just blow up. And of course there are our radar frigates that are (besides the aircraft carrier obviously) the most crucial part of a carrier strike group.

A German here...I am happy and gratefulthat the Americans are our friends and allies. Germany has owedthem a great deal over the past decades. Of course there were disagreements...but those also happen in every happy marriage. I very much hope that the friendship will continue to deepen and that our two nations can do and learn a lot from each other. Cheers from Germany

@Maryondo7 ай бұрын
@oldcrow1877 ай бұрын

And the Irish guards corps of drums has been disbanded now so that's counting out a large proportion of quality musicians
