Tengo una pregunta en inglés por favor: 3:04 The price of the five tomatoes is given as one (single) dollar. Because the price has a singular value would *_Es_*_ un dólar por..._ be more appropriate than *_Son_*_ un dólar por..._ in much the same way as giving the time as "Es la una" for one o'clock and "Son las dos" for two o'clock. Apologies if I have misunderstood.

Hello, thank you so much for this question! It makes me happy that a viewer is this much focused on my videos! Really keeps me motivated to do better. As per your question, you are absolutely right! Grammar wise, that has to be corrected. The verb agrees with the price and not the quantity of the item and this is a mistake on my part. I had it simplified as we usually use "cuesta" more. For example: "Cuesta un dólar por cinco tomates" My apologies on that. I'll pin your comment so other's would be aware. Thanks again! 😄

Hello everyone! Thank you for watching my video. Please note, I have muted some of the music on this video which explains why the audio is a bit weird lol. I will re-upload this video together with other beginner ones to help you on your practice. Please let me know if this is an inconvenience for you and I'll make sure to rush the revised version. Thanks!

This way of teaching is by far the best. It is so VERY helpful that the English commentary is first then the student can pause the video to think of the response. It defintely is great way to learn and practice vocabulary, formulate sentences and learn sentence structure. Please continue to create your videos this way. Thank you!!

Una pregunta en inglés por favor: At 1:33 Cora says "¿Qué *desean* ordenar hoy?" It becomes quickly apparent that Cora is talking to one male customer. As far as I can tell, *desean* is the formal / third person plural conjugation of the verb desear, the associated pronouns being ellos / ella /ustedes. I can understand why the formal conjugation would be used by Cora and a customer, by why would she use the plural when talking with a single customer? Am I missing something? I have only just started watching your videos and I like the art and presentation style. Together with the fact that your characters express themselves with some emotion and they are not too long makes your videos interesting to watch.
@StoriesinSP12 күн бұрын
I really appreciate the kind words! I would say both really works depending on which region you are located. Using "desean" is a more formal way to acknowledge a client but using conjugations for "tu" and "usted" also works. In most latin countries, they won't really use this expression. I should probably have used "usted" instead as it's more common. I hope that answers your question 😅
