I thought this looked similar in detail to the Irish Brigade monument at the Sunken Road at Antietam. I checked; it is the same sculptor!

Indeed you are correct, Ron Tunison did both. He was one of the best.

@@timfulmergettysburg-guide I took multiple photos of the one at Antietam. Close up of features, interaction of the figures. Very intriguing. I didn't see the Gettysburg one but then again there are SO MANY monuments to see.

@@janem9408 There are 1300 monuments and markers at Gettysburg. Tuff to see them all. I enjoy the detail and the art work as well as the stories they may tell.. Tunison was a great person. I had the opportunity to meet him and correspond with Ron. A great artist and a great person.
