Interesting. I feel like they already fixed jpc issues with the spc, which is why Ive been struggling to find a justification for the r-series, other than monetary, altogether. In your opinion, and assuming you’ve run an spc before, what are the biggest differences and/or advantages of an r-series jpc as opposed to an spc?

Communications between squads, command, etc. one thing I see is leadership rolls will be on command channels while their squad is on squad comms which creates a barrier in passing information. So having 2 radios gives me the ability to listen to multiple channels and the possible 3rd is just if I want to just connect to another radio than type in the frequency

I’ll be honest I’m still learning the radios of both brands myself, however I think the TCA 152’s are a bit easier to those new to those radios There’s a group of FB called TRI/TCA owners that’s helped and I’ll possibly do a video at some point on just the bare bones how to of the radios

Not necessarily in need of a “ballistic” helmet. I like the looks of the maritime, and the thing about those kinds of helmet is NIJ standard and NIJ certified are 2 very different terms, as well the NIJ I believe doesn’t even have an updated helmet testing protocol since the 80’s

I don’t think the angle of the mount is angled out enough to poke your leg, if it is the case just mount the pouch higher so that it doesn’t although it sort of negates the “drop” aspect of it.

Take your time Do your research Find out what works best for YOU My setup isn’t the end all be all, nor is it the best, it’s just what works for me as of now and gear always changes. I don’t necessarily know the price of all my stuff combined but what I can say is start small, maybe even try replica stuff, run around, play airsoft in it see what works is honestly my best advice.
